Stabilizing prices to improve citizens’ livelihood

Written by Compiled by: Miriam Tekeste

http://www.shabait.com/articles/nation- ... ivelihood-

Articles

For citizens to have an improved living standard, first of all, there must be adequate supply of products. Adequate products are essential but not necessarily sufficient unless there is an even distribution of products in all parts of the country and fair prices are ensured. This is likely to stabilize the market and play a big role in the economic growth of the nation.

The government of Eritrea has been working hard and is still making efforts to improve the lives of the Eritrean people. Major Kibreab Abraham, head of the Crop and Livestock Corporation of Eritrea, said that at the present time of peace, different projects are planned to ensure economic growth of the country.

The government has set up a plan to help farmers by providing them with essential materials such as fertilizers, pesticides and seeds. The main aim of the program is to identify problems farmers face and solve them for better production and transform agriculture through extensive use of modern technology.

As Major Kibreab Abraham said our nation’s market has been facing one major problem. Farmers always work hard to produce what the buyers need and want. The problem occurs with the merchants, the so called middle-men, who buy from farmers at low prices and sell at high prices that people cannot afford. For instance, some merchants buy a sheep at 500-700 Nakfa from breeders and sell it for up to 3500 Nakfa.

Since the price of products is not compatible with the livelihood of the citizens the government is paving the way for farmers to sell their products directly to customers, and the corporation will assist farmers in transporting their products. The objective of the plan is to create a space for direct communication between producers and buyers without the presence of the third party so that products can be sold at fair prices. Farmers and producers can also sell their products directly to the corporation itself. The government also plans to sell products at low price through subsidy.

To stabilize the market and ensure economic growth, the government is implementing the plan at village level. According to the plan every village will elect a three-member committee that has good knowledge of agriculture.

The duty of the committees is to do research and come up with plans. Elections have already taken place in Zobas Gash Barka and Maekel and the remaining zobas will have elections soon.

After meeting local demands, the government plans to produce for the export market. The plan is at its initial stage and may not materialize within a short period of time. But considering its importance for raising the country’s foreign currency earnings people should play their role for

In Zoba Maekel, there is a plan to set up markets in a number of neighborhoods to make them accessible for customers. In the past, this service has been given through 22 outlets of Sawa Agro Industry and the 15 community shops, dukan hedri, scattered at different locations in Asmara. Now, 60 more shops are planned to be opened.

Massawa was under false un embargo for years thanks to tplf. Now that it has been lifted it will give djibouti a good run for its money. Its always good to compete in business but its the sea is stunning. You can buy a plot next to me and i promise to listen to economic policies for dummies every day. That will all depend if Gor Gor forgivea you

Nipsey Hussle's Birthday Will Reportedly Have LAPD on High Alert

BY JOE PRICE

Image via Getty/Paras Griffin

Nipsey Hussle http://complex.com/tag/nipsey-hussle/ would have turned 34 years old this Aug. 15, and while this year many fans will be eager to honor the life of the late rapper, the LAPD http://complex.com/tag/lapd/ is reportedly anticipating the possibility of some trouble. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ https://www.tmz.com/2019/07/29/nipsey-h ... -marathon/ that police will be heavily monitoring the area around Nip's Marathon clothing store, which is where he was shot and killed on March 31.

The LAPD is anticipating a huge presence outside of the store, with many fans coming to pay their respects. While it'll more than likely be a celebration and mourning, the police allegedly don't want to take any chances and will employ a heavier presence than usual at the spot. In fact, there will be approximately 100 officers in the area, TMZ's source added. Violence isn't anticipated, however, and it's merely a precautionary move. As of right now, Nipsey's estate has not announced any official plans for the late rapper's birthday.

Nipsey's memorial service and funeral procession drew in a lot of friends and fans, and the LAPD made sure they had a large presence there, too. Earlier this month it was reported that the LAPD had launched an investigation into Nipsey and his business associates over alleged gang activity, but those reports were later shot down. https://www.complex.com/music/2019/07/l ... estigation The LAPD stressed that he was "never the target" of the investigation, although they did not deny the claims that city officials attempted to get Nip evicted from the area of the Marathon store.

It was noted that over 100 officers will be in the area to make sure things go smooth, but will reportedly be in plain clothes to avoid making a scene.

Lights and shadows in England

La Real exhibits part of its powers and weaknesses in the two friendlies on the island

• The danger and easy goal of Isak plus the exquisite performance of Näis, the best

• Worrying defensive problems and doubts with some crack, the worst

Isak sneaks between two Millwall players (Oscar Alonso Algote - Oscar Alonso Algote / RS)

BY: ANGEL LÓPEZ

https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/r ... terra.html

(Software translation from spanish)

07-27-2019

The Real was like the sky in London one day in July: rays of light covered by clouds and a shower coming. The British capital always has a lot to offer, but in some ways it disappoints. The Txuri Urdin squad leaves lights and shadows in two games against a good Nottingham and a lazy Millwall, both second, in which they were not able to win and in which they conceded five goals. Näis Djouahra's spillover and needle-drop football and the ease of unchecking, arming the leg and marking of Alexander Isak feed an illusion that is not triggered by the serious weakness demonstrated by the Real in the defensive aspect, especially in the defense of the stopped ball and the aerial balls and the doubts that some of its most important players offer at the moment.

With Isak, here is another number ‘9’

It will be the League that dictates sentence, give and take reasons; but it seems that the Real has in Isak a diamond in the rough. The number ‘9’ is one of the sensations of the summer, because, although he has scored three goals to date, he has managed to generate numerous occasions due to his ability to free himself of defenders and search for spaces. Despite his big size, he has great foot work, goes down the field a lot to receive balla and constantly attacks free spaces. Against Millwall, he scored two very different good goals, provoked a penalty that was not whistled and he was close to doing a ‘hat trick’. It is smart, with great instinct. Willian José has in him, a great rival for the position. Or ally?

Odegaard is missing filming and chemistry

It is to see him control the ball and scan the horizon and realize that he is a superior being, with a leather ball. But for the moment, except for an assistance to Azpeitia, Odegaard does not finish specifying everything good and daring he does on the field. It is evident that he handles much better when Imanol aligns him with the right-hand drive than the extreme, because when he smiles it is when the game flows from his boots. You may have to wait to see the best version of Odegaard, because you are still many miles away from interacting well with your attack colleagues, interpreting your movements and unchecking, having chemistry. Everything he tries distils talent, but almost nothing ends in success. For now.

Näis Djouahra has shouted for it

I would have had it much easier in previous summers, in which the Real accused an almost total lack of extremes, players with overflow from the outside, ‘legs’, as Olabe says. In the year in which it stands out with two dazzling matches, the team is plagued by players of that profile, because it has been Imanol's obsession with a view to strengthening the squad. The presence of Portu, Barrenetxea, Oyarzabal and Januzaj close the doors, but 10 years ago Griezmann took the ax of his ambition and quality and knocked it down. Spectacular Näis, of the subsidiary, in the two games, breaking by speed stuck to the band and driving inwards, associating well with the rest. His great goal in Nottingham and the magical assistance to Isak in London, samples of his great work.

Illarra, the hand that rocks the cradle

Illarra traveled and played part time at Millwall. Good news, although for now your right adductor continues to raise certain doubts. He played well, perfectly synchronized with Zurutuza, 45 minutes in The Den, but at a slow pace and without too aggressive opposition. The captain, key in this team, assumes that he will have to live with his ailment practically all season, that he will play with pain. And he is likely to be forced to stay out of the team many games for that damn injury. With Zubeldia, Merino, Pardo and Guevara his position is well covered, but in the best moments of the Real, when he offers his best version and submits the rival, it is almost always that of Illarra the hand that rocks the cradle.

The cracks are, but so far

The best news of the summer, even better than the proven quality of some of the signings, is that, at least on July 28 and less than two weeks after the English market closes, its most differential players remain in the Real. That is the blessing. The problem is that at the moment they are not close to their best version, which they did not fully embrace last year. Here the exception is Mikel Oyarzabal, the best realist in the past year, who has not entered into the rotation of games so far. But at the moment a hierarchical Willian José has not been seen, who has only scored a penalty and against Lagun

Massawa should have been under Tigray (ancient Ethiopia). TPLF idiots gave it away to Eritrea even though teh Hewit Treaty describes Masswa as part of Tigray and Ethiopia. Eritrea should have been without Masswa, north of it. The Dahlak Islands should have been under Ethiopia or Tigray.

TPLF leaders backstabbed and betrayed Tigray people. Now Tigrayans have no port of their own. One asks what TPLF was liberating, Eritrea or Tigray. TPLF used Tigrayans to liberate Eritrea from Ethiopia. Tigrayans should ask themselves why they still support TPLF?They should bring TPLF leaders and cadres to justice? Still it is not too late to bring back South Mereb to Tigray or Ethiopia. Tigrayans should be re-organised and pay the necessary sacrifces to protect the legacy of their forefathers.

The Hewitt Treaty

The Hewitt treaty was signed on 3 June, 1884 between Rear Admiral William Hewitt (a British envoy) with Emperor Yohannis of Ethiopia. There was turmoil between Ethiopia and Egypt at that moment. Hewitt came to negotiate peace on the behalf of Egypt. This treaty was signed not only to negotiate peace but also because there was Egyptian soldiers trapped in the areas along the Ethio-Sudanese border.

The treaty also included these articles which dealt with:

free transit for Ethiopia through the port of Massawa for all goods including firearms.
restoration to Ethiopia of Bogos and other regions with their buildings, stores and munitions, and
Ethiopian agreement to help in the safe evacuation of the trapped Egyptian army via Massawa.
