The demand of Sidama political elites to create Sidama Regional State should be supported. Why should the Sidama be ruled by others when they can elect their own leaders who speak their language? Ethiopia should form other smaller states for regions with a defined territory. You cannot discriminate the Sidama people by not allowing them to have their own regional state or their own country.
We call Ethiopian patriots to stand with the Sidama people and support them in their struggle to form their own regional state. Sidama are a few of ancient Ethiopian lands. The land of Sidama was taken by Galla migrants. The opposition to Sidama Regional State comes from The Galla Tribe. The killings of on Sidama people are carried out by Abiy's hench men.
We should show solidarity with The Sidama people. We hope International Human Rights organisation would stand on the side of The Sidama people.
