It is said Ethiopians and Eritreans have false gods and false heros. They exaggerate and falsify history. Eritreans claim The Red Sea to themselves, even though part of it should have been to Ethiopia. Eritreans claim Bademe, even though the area has never been under Italy. Ethiopians also have their weak points. They deny that they were defeated by The British Army in Magdala, Wollo Province, North Ethiopia. Emperor Tewedros, the then ruler of Ethiopia, killed himself when the British army advanced to his hide outs in Magdala. He did not defend Ethiopia from the invading British Army led by Napier. Killing one self is a sin according To The Holy Bible. Thus Twedros was a sinner and a coward. He left Ethiopia and killed him self, leaving Ethiopia to be attacked by The invading British Army. Tewedros did not make war preparations. He was hiding in The Magdala Fortrss, awaiting his death and defeat. Tewedros is seen in Ethiopia (Tigray and Amhara) as a hero and has a statue in Addis Ababa and Gonder. This should not be as Twedros was a looser and a coward.

Menelik led an army to Adwa and defeated The Italian Army, which we admire and have respect to Menelik. However, he gave Ethiopia's sovereign land to Italy in exchange for weapon and ammunition. Such action of Menelik should be seen as treason and should be condemned. Italy declared that piece of land about 20000 square Kilometer it's colony of Eritrea. Menelik is seen as a hero for leading Ethiopia to victory against Italy in 1896 at the Battle of Adwa in Tigray, North Ethiopia. But at the same time, he sold away the population in Eritrea to slavery under Italy, which is a treason. Menelik does not deserve any special statue. He should be punished for giving away Ethiopians ( now Eritreans) to be slaves of Italy. Thus we demand the statue to Menelik to be demolished and all street names bearing his name to be replaced. Menelik Avenue, Menelik School etc should be replaced by other names like Geladeoes or other neutral names. Demolishing the statue to Menelik will be an act of liberation of the false propoganda Menelik has been getting by the mass media in Ethiopia. We call Ethiopians to demand the government to demolish the statue to Menelik or to demolish the satue by themselves.

Menelik is a hero but also a traitor. We cannot unite Ethiopia under Menelik's legacy. We should condemn Menelik for his act of betrayal of Ethiopia by giving aay land to Italy in 1896 even though Ethiopia was victorious on Italy!
