Amazing.
How thick does one have to be to write Felasha at this day and age.
Didn't you folks realize yet, that its Sidib.

Why can't the Amhara use Ayhud or Yahud like Tigreans do. But what I can't understand is everybody should know by now that Felasha is Sidib, derogatory name/word.

What does Felasha mean? Can you explain how it is an insult?

Thanks!

Refugee, IDP, Felso Yemeta Kewitch, Stateless.....I am sure you are not looking for the literal word.
We understand and its meant equivalent to Ni-g-er in today's equivalent.

I am sure, no self respecting Jewish in Ethiopia will be happy to be called Felasha.

On top of that you have Felasha Mura which its social meaning is those who were converted to Christian/Amhara.

Felasha is a demeaning name. Those who do not understand this, yet claim the Jewish are Amhara, do not know the Jewish from Adam.

coordination between Israel and Ethiopia particularly the rich Amaras is growing. I see big things are coming.

Thank you HIM, King of Kings and the line Juda for creating this relationship with the powerful Jewish State and by extension the US. It seems Ethiopia is an asset to both of them not to be left alone to fight the fires.

You say you are Tigrean.
Felasha is an insult that was never used in Tigray. I heard the word itself when travelled outside Tigray.

Mybe you are not from part of Tigray that had Jewish population. I am from the area where there was visible Jewish community. Ayhud, Yahud was the name used in Northern and Western Tigray where the Jewish people lived.

You have no any root in Tigrigna, you would have known that this word came from the Tigrigna word felsi-merebah/mabazat

At this point.

You can believe what you want.
I know enough on this subject, if not a lot.

The thread is a celebration of something great.
I wish I could delete the posts following the Felasha issue.

Axumawi,

Felasha is the least insult they avalanche toward the ቤተ እስራኤሎች... they used to call them buda or evil eyes.. if someone died or gotten ill they will be hunted and killed accused of putting evil sprite on sick person .. ቤተ እስራኤሎች are not mix or getting married with the local they are outcast they r untouchable.. they were not allowed to mix with people but ቤተ እስራኤሎች were good skill people they make all kind of pot and metal work ... those Amhara used what those ቤተ እስራኤሎች produce but they dont want to touch them or mix with them .. this unwanted sole when Israel want to take them mengistu haile mariam demanded money and got advance but he could not took the whole amount thanks to TPLF, TPLF allowed the ቤተ እስራኤሎች to be lifted from Addis Ababa but those ቤተ እስራኤሎች forget what TPLF did for them they were the reason they r in Isreal but when Hailemariam Desalegn TEHY CALL HIM በጉ ... this is the thanks TPLF GOT... ANYhow i dont blame ቤተ እስራኤሎች their are many Gondree who pretended they r ቤተ እስራኤሎች and go to Israel they might be those people any how i dont want the young ቤተ እስራኤሎች not to forget where they come from .. the sad thing is the ቤተ እስራኤሎች themselves afraid of their own history and they dont want to pass the dark history to their children and the Children think they r Gondree ...in way that is gooooooooooood to forgive the past but forget is a crime
