Chelsea transfer scouts watch Alexander Isak as Blues eye 'new Zlatan Ibrahimovic'

Chelsea are tracking Borussia Dortmund's Alexander Isak, the teenage Swedish striker being hailed as the new Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Isak, 19, is currently on-loan at Dutch club Willem II – and the Blues had him watched in last night's clash with Ajax in Tilburg.

He has scored 11 goals in 11 games since moving to Holland.

And his brilliant first touch and nimble footwork has seen the 6ft 3ins forward compared to Swedish legend Ibra.

Stockholm-born Isak was nicknamed 'Giraffe” when he was coming through the ranks at hometown club AIK because of his rangy build and long neck.

He was being watched by a host of clubs that included Real Madrid https://www.mirror.co.uk/all-about/real-madrid-cf before Dortmund paid £14million for him in January 2017.

But his chances of impressing in the Bundesliga have been limited, prompting Dortmund to loan Isak to Willem II in the New Year.

The striker wasn't happy with the move - but he has hit the goal trail in spectacular fashion in Holland.

Chelsea https://www.mirror.co.uk/all-about/chelsea-fc are in the market for a young striker after bringing in 31-year-old Gonzalo Higuain on loan from Juventus https://www.mirror.co.uk/all-about/juventus-fc in January in a deal which includes an option to make the move permanent.

Madrid have continued to watch Isak's development and are likely to rival the Stamford Bridge club if Dortmund show a willingness to sell.

Isak's parents are from Eritrea, but he has already won four caps for Sweden.

Isak believes he's heading for the very top.

He said:
I want to play for a really big club in a big league. I will see about my near future at the end of this season.
Chelsea have already concluded business with Dortmund for the signature of highly-rated USA international Christian Pulisic.

The forward will join the Blues officially this summer after his £57million transfer was confirmed last January.

Meb Keflezighi: 'There Are No Guarantees In The Marathon Or In Life

I was recovering from an injury on Marathon Monday in 2013. I watched the race from the grandstand on Boylston Street and was captivated by the spirit of the marathon at the finish line. I had just returned to the Fairmont Copley hotel a few minutes before the first bomb exploded. I wept when I heard the news.

I remember thinking: Marathons bring out the best of the human spirit. Why would someone turn all that’s good about humanity into a scene of death and destruction?

I vowed to return to Boston in 2014. I wanted to race. Not just for myself, but to help heal the families and the city. I wanted to help reclaim the Marathon as an event of joy and positivity.

In 2014, I was one of the slowest runners in John Hancock's elite field — and the oldest, at almost 39. But I wasn’t thinking about that. I came to America with my family when I was 12, after fleeing the war in Eritrea. The United States and running had been good to me, and I was determined to do something special.

On my bib, I wrote the names of the four people who’d died the year before: Sean, Krystle, Lingzi and Martin. They ran the race with me, and with the 36,000 other runners that day.

I didn’t plan to take the lead early, but soon after the halfway point, I was running alone. The chants of “USA! USA!” and “Go, Meb!” still ring in my ears.

Three miles from the finish — struggling, in pain and ready to vomit — I almost got caught by another runner. Almost. I drew strength from the cheering crowds and the names on my bib.

Finally came the most famous turns in marathon running: right on Hereford, left on Boylston. I crossed myself at the bombing sites, broke the tape and fell into my wife’s arms. I wept again — this time to the national anthem.

There are no guarantees in the marathon or in life. Over the last five years, people don’t only say “congratulations” to me for winning in 2014; they say “thank you.”

What really mattered that day is that we all ran to win. I just happened to get to the line first.

"26 Marathons," by Meb Keflezighi. One of the world's greatest distance runners, Keflezighi is the only man to win the New York and Boston marathons, plus an Olympic silver medal in the 26.2-mile race. (Robin Lubbock/WBUR)

Nipsey Hussle often shared keen insight on entrepreneurship, self-awareness and societal issues through his music. An avid reader, many of the views Nipsey https://rollingout.com/2019/04/12/nipse ... s-angeles/ presented in his raps came from books that helped him to see the world differently.

Here are seven books that guided the philosophy of Nipsey Hussle. https://rollingout.com/2019/04/12/5-pow ... g-service/

The Spook Who Sat By The Door

Written by Sam Greenlee in 1968, the fictional story follows Dan Freeman, the first Black CIA officer and former gang member in Chicago, as he learns the tactics of the CIA. Freeman later uses the skills that he learned at the CIA and goes to war against the American government. Mentioned on the song “Blue Laces 2,” Nipsey had plans of naming his last album after the book.

Message To The Blackman In America

Written by Elijah Muhammad in 1965, the book provides insight on how Black men can take steps toward self-improvement. T.I. revealed during an Instagram live chat on April 3, 2019, that Nipsey Hussle gave him the book.

Contagious

Written by Jonah Berger, Contagious provides marketing tips on how to make products more attractive to buyers. After reading the book, Nipsey came up with the idea to sell his Crenshaw mixtape for $100 apiece. Inspired by Nipsey’s business acumen, Jay-Z bought 100 copies.

Three Magic Words: The Key to Power, Peace and Plenty

Written by Uell Stanley Andersen, the book provides tools on how to tap into the power within. During a 2010 interview with Complex, Nipsey discussed the book and said,
It’s about the power of the mind. It’s about the projection of your thoughts into reality.
The 22 Immutable Laws of Marketing

Written by Al Ries and Jack Trout, the book takes a look at rules within marketing that are essential to growth. Nipsey told Forbes that he was given the book by a friend and used some of the rules for his own journey in the music business.

Power vs. Force

Written by David R. Hawkins, the book delves into the impact of how and why choices are made. In a 2019 interview with Clash, Nipsey discussed the book and said,
There’s a chapter called the ‘Levels of Human Consciousness’ and what the whole premise is [is] that basically the power of frequency of your action is informed by the intention, and there’s a chart of all these different intentions that you can have.'
Blood In My Eye

Written by George L. Jackson months before he was killed in 1971 while doing time at San Quentin State Prison, the book tells the life story of Jackson, who served 11 years in prison for allegedly stealing $70 from a gas station. Jackson would become an activist while in prison. Nipsey mentioned that he was inspired by the book during a 2010 interview with Complex.
