We Digital Weyane are not jealous of your star athletes or music artists or scientists. We have our own stars on our Tigrai flag.

What is amazing is that this kid has a quintessential Eritrean footballer style. Alex Wedi Isak reminds me of numero sette Tekie Abraha, numero sette Mokie, numero nove Tesfai Carlo later aka Cento, also little bit of numero nove the elegant Wedi Kichene. He doesn't at all look like a European player, his stride is very Eritrean. This kid is going to make us famous, just like Nip has done. Humble regal seriousness.

April 14, 2019

(Software translation)

The 25-year-old crossed the line after 2:09:06 hours, undercutting his personal best by about three minutes and ran the third fastest time ever over the 42.195 kilometers in the Upper Austrian capital.

“It was a good race, I held back a long time and then attacked,” said Kesete. Second place, 13 seconds back, came Felix Chemonges from Uganda. Kenyan co-favorite Nicholas Rotich finished third, 2:15 behind the winner. His compatriot, 3,000-meter obstacle Olympic champion Brimin Kipruto, finished eighth in his marathon debut in a time of 2:19:23.
