Why TPLF failed despite massive global support, EPLF succeeded despite crippling sanctions?

Post by justo » 09 Feb 2019, 12:51

Meles and TPLF received massive global support. Moral, economic, diplomatic and otherwise. Eritrea was subjected to continuous destabilization, including crippling sanctions.

Then why Meles, TPLF, Tigrai failed, and Isaias, EPLF, Eritrea succeed? Corruption! Why is TPLF not celebrating yekatit, while Isaias strong as ever is celebrating Fenkil? One word, corruption!

Meles, TPLF, Tigrai are corrupt, which became their undoing.
Isaias, EPLF and Eritrea turned out to be squeaky clean, which conferred us immunity

"More than economics, more than politics, a nation's culture will determine its fate." said the late PM Lee Kuan Yew, the visionary leader who turned Singapore from a third world nation into one of the world’s most developed countries in less than 50 years.

Culture matters.

The culture of corruption, greed, terror and ethnic superiority the TPLF cultivated since their days in the Dedeb-iT jungle proved to be their undoing. Their willingness to sell Ethiopia for crumbs to be able to cling to power, had attracted huge support from neo-colinial powers that needed expendable soldiers to do their dirty work screwing Africa.

We Eritreans, having won our independence by defeating world super powers and their expendable minions, we embraced and nurtured our ethnic and cultural diversity that midwifed the rebirth of our nation that, we all instinctively stick together like glue when we feel our existence is threatened. The new Mercedes-Benz stadium in Atlanta that hosted Super Bowl 53 has a retractable roof with several sliding panels (petals) that open and close the roof like a camera lens in minutes. Rain or shine, the game goes on. Eritrea is also built in the same way-- sanctions or not, the game goes on and we always emerge victorious.

For nations, the survival value of honesty and upright behaviour is enormous.

Eritrea is upright, and thus easily surmounts hardships. Tigrai is corrupt and ergo easily crumbles.

Idiots talk about forms of government and waste enormous time debating the value of private press, wise people talk about the culture and character of nations
