TesfaNews

Sorry to see, the puffy eyes of the sell- outs run out of water and their hearts ache.

The era of trying to dictate to Eritrea, is almost over!

Eritrea needs the "space" to deal with its most prominent challenges, such as reviving the economy and creating abundant jobs for its people; besides relieving the thousands of our heroes and heroines in the military, with dignity and with rewards that matches their sacrifice. There are no shortcuts to deal with this challenges, than to be part of it by contributing your share of the burden. If you're too lazy and stupid to do that, move aside and let those capable ones contribute.

If you think there is no rule of law in Eritrea, go and try anything stupid to experience it.

I hate when certain nobodies try to lecture, one of the most experienced and capable leadership on the continent.

These same leaders are the ones that crafted Eritrea's first democratic government, till it was forced to be shelved, as soon as the country faced an existential threat.

These same selfless leaders had instilled democracy in the minds of many Eritreans 27 years ago, by crafting the first constitution and democratic institutions in the country; that includes but not limited to: freedoms of the press and religion ... till the war for survival started, in 1998.

Those of us who were adult enough at that time still remember what it looks like to see daily newspapers, freedom of travel, faith, assembly, annual gatherings at a cinema for REAL (not televised) Q&A with the President, etc ... again till a war was imposed upon us.

Now, people calling themselves "the opposition", have the audacity to advice / lecture these same leaders about democracy and rule of law.

Know your limits, i would say.

I mean it!

Of course that's your opinion and you are entitled to it, but you don't have to display your ignorance and/or arrogance with it at the same time.

When the people of Eritrea were forced to choose between win or lose the country, MANY (not all), chose saving her even at the expense of losing some of their freedoms for far too long. It took 20 long years to fully secure Eritrea, from the most prominent external threats - the TPLF and international sanctions.

It's been barely FIVE months, mind you 5 months, since we got out of the "survival mode" and the gov't that you're trying to offer advise to has been busy to tackle one challenge after another, on priority basis, since that day.

Of course, in a country that is as stable as Eritrea, economic reform takes center stage over political or any other reforms.

Solving the "Economic Challenge", will solve "almost" all the other challenges. No Eritrean at this particular time is ready to see or feed greedy politicians for the sake of political pluralism in the country, while his/her own stomach is empty. People in the "opposition" may have jobs, shelter and medical insurance in their country of refuge but those are like luxury commodities, in the present day Eritrea.

So when we ask or offer an opinion, please let's try to reflect the present day Eritrea- not the Eritrea that we envisioned in our head.

Long story short, leave the current task of bringing Eritrea out of the economic malaise to our most capable leaders. People like you and me can be part of the solution, by offering our expertise or money.

If you can't, move aside.

Zmeselo, my answer is in genetal, yes if the wrongdoers accepted their evil deeds, appologized in public and rectified it with good deeds.
But when it comes to these filthy woyanes, its supporters and sympathizers and even to their so called innocent tegarus who so far can not make up their minds whose side they are, I say absolutely no untill 2, 3 or 4 generation passes.
These generation tegarus should taste 10 fold of the miseries the Eritrean people were firced to taste with no fault of ours, but due to the ugly and envious tplf policies.

When the sanction was lifted I saw many ethios congatulate Eritrea and believe you me, so far I didn't see any coward evil wisher tigrawi/ti do so.
But with no shame they keep in telling us that they are our brothers.
These people are not to be trusted.
We will give them couple of generation to evaluate their a'sses.
We won't forget nor do we forgive these cockroaches.

Yes, bother Cigar.

The title of the video is, just being sarcastic. It's Debretsion saying, let's forget the past.

The video maker is saying- HELL NO- exactly like you.

Nice to hear from you again, btw.

It's been a while.

Past wrongdoings may be forgiven but could never be forgotten! But that is not automatically done because of time lapse. No matter how long it took, evil doings, like what the Weyanes have done to us, simply do not fade away into oblivion. To be forgiven:
1. For the Weyanes, and as far as I am concerned the Tegaru that supported them, MUST express regret and request forgiveness to all the crimes they have shamefully committed against our people and country.
2. As we all know, no amount of money offer could erase an evil act from the minds of the aggrieved. Nonetheless, a monetary fund must be offered to every and all Eritrean, and Ethiopian of Eritrean origin who had suffered abuse and daytime highway robbery of their properties and monetary assets that was earned legally and by the sweat of our people working and residing in Ethiopia.
3. Finally, the TPLF and its supporters must seize the silly attempt of obstructing the complete implementation of the EEBC final and binding decision by withdrawing from all illegally occupied Eritrean territories.
Then and only then could we possibly consider to forgive the unforgivable Weyane criminal and evil acts.

I like your list. I would add #4 which is:

Tegarus must cease subversive activities against Eritrea. We don't want to hear your gega'zian nonsense anymore. I mean how can you love foreigners more than your own country men? You think a group of people like that can be trusted?

Remember, they also cut their head off to help you be independent.

All of you secessionists in this thread should at least give Woyane credit for that; I am sure they had ulterior motives for you alright; but, never wished ill upon you besides your leaders, they were hoping to lure Eritrea back to Unity at the end; the plan malfunctioned.

Now, they're in catch 22 situation.A Catch 22 is an extremely frustrating situation in which one thing cannot happen until another thing has happened, but the other thing cannot happen until the first thing has happened. Confusing!

So, don't hate Dr. Debretsion for being confused while calling you to join Tigrai. One thing is certain, Ethiopians don't mind what he is doing; in fact I wish things will work out between you two because you both need some kind of heeling.

Cheers!

As if they had a choice in the matter. Remember it was EPLF tanks that were roaming Addis Abeba, there were many Eritrean bureaucrats who came in and assisted the TPLF in setting up their government in Addis. There are articles I can find for you in which it was evident that the TPLF was not in favor of supporting Eritrean independence. They were forced to, just like right now they were forced to make peace with Eritrea.

So, as far as credit goes, perhaps we can give them credit for not being foolish enough to say no to the EPLF and the Abiy. But who cares? They evicted 70,000 Eritreans who were living peacefully in Ethiopia, who established their business there married into Ethiopian families and for the most part considered Ethiopia their home. Further, they kept us (Eritrea and Ethiopia) from reconciling and making peace for 20 years. Look at all the outpouring of love Abyi got in Eritrea, weren't you moved by the videos of long lost families finally reuniting? None of this would have been possible if the scumbags were still in charge of Ethiopia.
