I am not a scientist and I don't have yet developed an opinion about the work of the professor on the Oromo Gada System. I think I have read that book long time ago when I was an ardent supoorter of "QBO". So, I wouldn't comment here about the visit of the man, as an Eritrean he is free to visit a country where he once called home.

My question to you is when are you going to organise a reception for yout another idol in the name of Tesfaye Geberab?

Sadacha,

Akkami - fayyaa?

Unfortunately, Boranas will tell the good professor that they are completely unhappy with the so called Oromo-led current regime of Ethiopia whose leaders:

a) have humiliated the Borana Abba Gada a number of times,

b) have failed Boranas in defending key Borana-Oromo 'arda-jilas' [sacred Gada sites] & huge tracts of Borana's ancestral land against the land-grabbing Somali thugs trained & supported by members of Dr Asmerom Legesse's own banda tribe AND,

c) why previous Amhara-dominated regimes of Ethiopia [of the emperors & Derg] were FAR ... FAR better at helping the Borana in defending their land & protect their Gada system than the impotent current regime of Ethiopia led by the so called 'Team Lema'.

Boranas have already labelled Ethiopia's Lema+Abiy-led government as the worst for Borana. Hence, Lema, Abiy, OPDO, etc, have to hurry-up to reverse the simmering popular discontent in Boranaland & all over Oromia.

VIDEO CLIP:

Here is a recent OBN TV report showing a meeting Borana-Oromo community leaders have had in Moyale town with the 'special envoy' of the OPDO government, General Kamal Gelchu. They community asked him to tell them whether the current Oromia & Ethiopian governments actually understand the reason, extent & gravity of the Somali expansionist policy that is continued at the expense of border-straddling Oromo communities such as the Borana. They also expressed their utter DISAPPOINTMENT with Ato Lema Megersa's Oromia government & with Dr. Abiy Ahmad's "new Ethiopia".

"Ejjannoo Mootummaani Naanoo Oromia Mooyale, Woyaama fi Tula-Salani (daangaa Oromiya) irrati qabuyyu hindhageene. Tadhibii lafa ka'a, tanaa nut himaa". Borana Community leaders tell General Kamaal Galchu. OBN TV - Nov 17, 2018. "Marii Nageenyaa Mooyyallee irratti Jeneraal Kamaal Galchuu hawaasa waliin taasisan sad 17, 2011" (Video: 4 min). [Rough translation: General Kamal Gelchu: stop your rubbish/useless lectures & do tell the gathered Borana elders whether Ato Lema Megersa's OPDO government of Oromia & Dr. Abiy Ahmad's new government of Ethiopia have basic understanding of the continued Somali land grab issue/wars against the Borana people!]

As you know, the oromo people are experiencing issues in a number of places, not just in borana areas.
wallaga, moyale, dire dhawa, etc, are among other places suffering, as well.
some of it is tplf based issues, i.e. them arming and funding groups to attack oromia, because attacking oromia, is attacking opdo, olf, and oromos in general.
some of it, is opdo being inept, and being true to their lowly, traitorous, founding/origins.
oromos are good at being patient, especially with their own, but the opdo should not take the oromo for granted.
it will cost them dearly in the end. they should know better, by now. it was the oromo who defended them, even as recently as a year or less ago, when somali and tplf armed bandits were raiding and killing them.
