here he is both honest and dishonest. He is honest in the sense that no army or any thing repeals a revolting population. A revolting population paralyses almost any thing, any empire. He is dishonest in the sense that Ethiopians cannot know whether the population of Eritrea was the driving force or the rebels of that time who were revolting to be separated. As an individual, I feel that, he was the driving force to arrange the separation. There was no vote for the population, at least for the Eritreans who were residing in Ethiopia by by that time. And paradoxically, the same person was the the one was was saying, "if we don't like the color of their eyes, we can ask them to leave in reference to Eritreans).
