Re: Why does Galla Abiy Ahmed refused to give Kilil-stan rights to Gurage and Wolayita people?
Answer?
Because, he is putting Guraghe in his back pocket to toss it into his Orommuma mouth sometime later.
Mark my word, Orommuma will eatup all those ethnic Zones in SNNPR turn by turn. The most that will get several painful bite from Orommuma is Guraghe, because many Guraghe lands, compared to others, have been already bagged into Oromia region; and still many areas of Guraghe are highly likely to be thrown into the Orommuma bag. Anyone how crossed Gibe river by bus either in his way to Jimma/Agaro or Addis Abab can see all the tukuls/huts/ from Giber river to Welqite are Guraghe, but forcefully grabed by Orommuma. The same to Wolliso, which is historically Sodo Guraghe but eaten up by the Orommuma alligator. Any Guraghe, for that matter in the SNNPR fake TPLF region bowing down and kissing Abiy Ahmed feet will be the reason for eternal slavery or be the ገባሮ of Oromia , either by force or Mogassa.

Aby govt act based on Protestant. Most Kenbatans have been stooge of foreign Protestant faith, saying goodbye to their original faith Orthodox. So aby govt is listening to these friendly to aby govt protestant and rejecting those who refuse to change their true origins, Welayta and Gurage. Weyane was successful converting most population to Protestant, Wahabi, ethnic fanaticism and communism. Aby government will complete the rest saying goodbye to true self and faith in Ethiopia along with Ethiopia's unique history, culture and faith.

Ah yes, tigrayan lady, posting random videos and posts from a page that is as anti-oromo as you are (i get it, if i were tigrayan, i'd hate us and most of the horn too, for pouncing upon tigray & committing war crimes there), is a great source for facts.
Personally, I support the gurage getting their own kilil, and the silte getting a separate one for themselves, too.

Shipwreck off Djibouti leaves 38 Ethiopians dead
April 09, 2024 By VOA News
A ship carrying Ethiopian migrants sank Monday off Djibouti, killing at least 38 people, according to the International Organization for Migration.
The IOM says 22 people were rescued, the U.N. agency said in a statement.
The ship was traveling to Yemen from Djibouti, the main transit country for migrants attempting to reach Gulf nations from the Horn of Africa.
The route is dangerous and leaves migrants vulnerable to trafficking, kidnapping, arrest and forced recruitment into warring groups.

Ethiopian gov’t not paying salaries in Wolaita zone
April 27, 2024
In what appears to be an omen of deepening financial crisis affecting the Ethiopian government, salaries are not paid in time for public servants in the Wolaita zone of Southern Ethiopia region.
According to a BBC Amharic report, Salaries are delayed for months and paid employees are getting paid in installments with up to 40 percent withheld amount. Sixteen districts and six city administrations are impacted by the situation.
The source indicated that there are 64,000 public servants in the affected parts of Wolaita zone.
Employees told BBC Amharic that it has been a recurring problem since 2020 but worsening since last year.

Wolayta people want to have their own kilil but their tiny zone does not have natural resources.

Police disperse public servants protest in Wolaita
May 17, 2024
Public servants who took to the street in Wolaita Sodo town to protest months of unpaid salaries were reportedly dispersed by police.
They have been protesting since Tuesday this week in the seat of Wolaita zone administration of South Ethiopia but the administration was unable to give a “satisfactory answer” , according to DW Amharic report.
The source said that the public servants gathered to take to the street again on Thursday but they were dispersed by security forces.
The protestors were drawn from various government offices in the Sodo area. They were on their way to the zone administration and office of the president of the South Ethiopia region when security forces arrived and dispersed them as they were near the zone’s court.
“We told security forces that our demand is bread and we do not have any other motive [that is to mean that the demand has nothing to do with politics]. They did not understand us and we were unable to reach the administration office,” DW cited the protestors as saying.
The situation of public servants in the Wolaita zone and other zonal administrations in the South Ethiopia regional state has been making news headline in connection with unpaid salaries. It has been reported that they were facing difficulties to feed their families.
The situation has impacted social service delivery in the region. High school students from Damot Woyde district reported that classes are suspended as teachers are not returning back to school. They protested in Bedesa town. Parents are also demanding the administration to resolve the problem.

Re: Why does Galla Abiy Ahmed refused to give Kilil-stan rights to Gurage and Wolayita people?
The answer is a no-brainer. Gurage, as a collective, has failed to fight for freedom. This comes from the willful misreading or intentional misunderstanding of Ethiopian politics as well as an irresponsible negligence toward our ethnic group which is is likely face existential threats in the absence of a vanguard political party that would protects its rights and freedom in Ethiopia. We fail to learn from Amara, Oromo, Tigrey, Eritrea, Somali, etc and organize ourselves seek alliances. We condemn all the liberations as enemies of Ethiopian unity. Usually, we believe true Ethiopians are those who rule Ethiopia and we don't want to disappoint them by establishing Gurage political group that opposes the Ethiopian government. Perhaps, second to Amara, perhaps would the second most in uttering "tebaboch" to ethno-nationalist groups such as TPLF, OLF, ONL, etc.Wedi wrote: ↑10 Jul 2022, 09:56Why does Galla Abiy Ahmed refused to give Kilil-stan rights to Gurage and Wolayita people?

Abiy Ahmed, if you know him, he gathers info about you or some situation. He brings those he wants to his council, acts right away or waits for a right moment to strike.
On the denial of the Gurage demand for the establishment of its autonomous region, as the EPRDF constitution provides, he has the support of all former and current Gurage Gov leaders who remain EPRDF loyalists and then switched to Abiy Ahmed's PP. By denying Gurage its constitutional rights, he knew he would still be safe. Compare these Gurage hodams with the leaders of Sidama who were members of the EPRDF. They wrote a letter to Abiy Ahmed warning him that if the Sidama demand for its own Region was not positively answered, Sidama would not be peaceful. In addition, he tested Gurage by arresting Gurage youth leaders, there were no protests to free them. They were not even visited in prison. Then massacred around 6 people protesting about water shortage with water collection jericans in their hands. No organized protests by youth, elders or faith leaders.
There is a poverty of political leadership, action and lack of knowledge of the natures changing Ethiopian govs. We don't go all the way to achieve a goal. We should be more organized, determined, creative/resourceful, unflinching, daring, committed and consistent.

For example,
1) Yem wage war on Gurage to forcibly annex Qose town located in Gurage. Hadiya supplies weapons to armed thugs of Kebena and Mareqo. This info was obtained the criminals arrested in Welkite. Silte voted to separate from Gurage and grouped with Gurage again.
2)Welaita and Gamo/Gofa long registered their animosity when Meles introduced a common Omotic language to unite them. Putting them in the same administration will only rekindle their mutual suspicion.

Instead of bending low with your backend protruding far behind and whining day and night for nothing just respect the people's choices and shut up. By slandering people for their chosen belief systems you can achieve Zero happiness and lots of sadness for yourself. Okay? Okay?

There are several groups who know about these tricks of yours even more than you and are willing firmly close the doors to you until you accept peaceful struggle, make your political Program and go to the Ethiopian people seeking endorsements if any and then try to seek election peacefully and democratically when the right time comes. All else is just like running in a circle with no end in sight.Dama wrote: ↑28 Jun 2024, 20:17Abiy Ahmed, if you know him, he gathers info about you or some situation.
