This is a Tigrinya interview with one veteran member of the EPLF. He claims,while Issaias Afeworki, Meles Zenawi and Yemane Kidane (Jamaica) were drinking Scotch Whisky one evening in Asmara in the mid 1990s, Issaias started to brag about the courage and bravery he inherited from his Tigrayan royal ancestors. According to Issaias, "bravery and heroism is genetically inherited. It can not be invented, however it can be inherited thru DNA."

It is indeed true, Issaias is proud of his Tigrayan genetic roots. These days, while preparing to transfer power to a few selected young Eritreans of pure Tigrayan bloodline, including his elder son Abraham Issaias Afewerki, he is promoting Tigrayan history, identity and monument copies all over Asmara.
Here is a sample that Issu erected on the exhibition grounds in Asmara in 2024.
