Dera is not a town it's a Woreda north of Selale, south of Wollo, west of Merhabete, east of Gojjam. its population is 50% Merhabete Amhara and 50% Selale Oromonized

I had opportunity to visit that place on a project outreach. Very isolated, green land, difficult to reach from the Addis side due to poor road and a big george with seasonally swelling river. From addis past sululta, selale, something like that. Ethnically not polarized society. I visited during TPLF era. I saw a bustling rural market. Poor infrastructure. Pristine land.
I am sure those animals bloodied the city and the land and saw fear so that the land owners could flee and the animals will declare the land is ours(ኬኛ). I hope they are not allowed to possess even what is leftover.
If Ethiopia had all representing regime this would not have been allowed to happen so close to Addis. What happened in Sodo gurage region is a mirror image of this; deliberate ethnic cleansing so that they could grab the land. That is what they are doing in addis too. Social engendering destroying the social fabrics of Amhara, southerners and others that classically formed the backbone of Ethiopianism. Cleanse them, terrorize them so they flee the city and go to regions followed by claiming the land in the name of development. Stooges, propagandists, profiteers of the regime and their head should be brought to justice when the time comes; nothing less. The innocent people killed and their blood spilled recklessly is crying for justice. An answer is a must.
