Eritrea will close its airspace to Ethiopian Airlines

Post by AbyssiniaLady » 24 Jul 2024, 19:52

Ethiopian Airlines said that it is currently seeking clarification from the Eritrean Civil Aviation Authority and is committed to resolving any issues amicably and promptly, Well, it's too little too late.

Eritrea will also block Ethiopian Airlines from entering its airspace starting 30 September 2024, A time when Ethiopian Airlines is being driven out of the African market, the giant Middle East Airline Carriers are dominating African skies, Ethiopian Airlines is struggling to remain in business.

The Eris airline- one outdated plane leased from Romania bankrupted due to no passengers and no payments to the crews years ago.
No one risks his life boarding that old plane.

Eris are a laughing stock of the world.

We Eritreans have no plan to close our airspace to Ethiopian Airlines. Such narrative is peddled by TPLF cadres that want to harm Ethiopia's economic interest. The decision reached by the Eritrean government to discontinue Ethiopian Airlines flights to Asmara was as a result of the government's repeated plea for addressing critical issues with the Airlines that fell on deaf ears. It's all business, nothing personal. It's only during times of war that a country has the right to defend its airspace by imposing a No-Fly-Zone over its airspace sovereignty.

Cartoonist Queen please don't mislead people, you are not Eritrean.

Not only will Eritrea close its airspace to Ethiopian Airlines but also expel Ethiopia's ambassador, Eritrea has full and exclusive sovereignty over the airspace above its territory, including its territorial sea, It is an indisputable fact, Country airspace sovereignty is a fundamental principle of international law.

Eritrea will shoot down any Ethiopian Airlines that violate its airspace after September 2024.

Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Bahrain closed their airspace to Qatar flights between 2017 and 2021, Here's another example of Airspace Sovereignty, On September 1, 1983, Soviet fighter jets intercepted a Korean Airlines passenger flight from New York to Seoul with 269 people aboard after it drifted into Soviet airspace and shot it down, All 269 people on board were killed.

Eritrea will do the same.

There's nothing to be gained from banning Ethiopian Airlines from our Eritrean airspace. But we understand the agame mindset that dwells on inflicting harm on others even when there's nothing to be gained from it. That's the difference between you zombies and us. Your IQ of 64 is the lowest in the world. :P :P :P

Airspace Sovereignty

Ethiopian Airlines - Banned from flying over Somalia airspace.

Until January 1, Ethiopian Airlines was flying its usual route over Somalia airspace, from Addis Ababa to Asia and Middle East.

Somalia has barred Ethiopian Airlines from flying over its airspace more than six months ago in response to the illegal MoU agreement that was signed on January 1, 2024 with khat addicted northern Somalis, However, Somalia only allows Ethiopian Airlines to enter its airspace if they conduct flights from and to Addis Ababa - Mogadishu, Addis Ababa - Hargeisa and Addis Ababa - Seychelles.

What has the isolated illiterate Galla fggt Abiy Ahmed achieved by causing tension with neighbouring countries? nothing, Galla are low IQ scavengers.

Usual routes to Asia and Middle East.

Your little brain must have been only 5 years old.
Eritrea completely shat down its air space to Ethiopia from 1998-2018 (for 20 full years). Your government at the time, the Weyane, who was much stronger military than your little PP today, couldn’t dare to send one sing Ethiopian airline plane over Eritrean airspace just to dare it. If Weyane had dare, the steel ball Eritrean airforce pilots would have turned the EAL to ashes. Now, if Eritrea decides to do it again, your little PP had no choice but to tack its coward tale between its skinny leg and cry.

It is funny that you low IQ think your little poorly trained Mekelakeya is a match to the mighty Shaebia. Shaebia or Eritreans for that matter, don’t brag or blaff like you cowards, it showed the world time and again what it could do; it completely distroyed a force that is 20 fold bigger than itself, without the help of Cuba, Soviets or E Europan help.

UAE airports welcome 36.5 million passengers in 3 months

Monday, 20 May 2024 15:01 By ARN News Staff

A total of 36.5 million passengers travelled through the UAE's airports in the first quarter of 2024.

The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) said this figure marks a 14.7 per cent increase compared to the same period last year.

The breakdown includes 10,874,232 departures, 10,723,639 arrivals and 14,944,466 transit passengers.

Meanwhile, the UAE's airports handled a total of 1.1 million tonnes of cargo during the three-month period between January and March 2024, marking a 32 per cent increase year-on-year.

National carriers accounted for nearly 68 per cent of the total air freight volume in Q1.

Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director-General of GCAA, attributed the growing figures to the collaborative efforts between the authority and its partners at both federal and local government levels.

He added that the strategic opening of new markets for national carriers, facilitated by 189 air transport agreements with countries worldwide, has been crucial in fostering partnerships and promoting the open skies policy.

War-torn Ethiopia is not only landlocked, but also skylocked, Ethiopian Airlines pay Somalia, Djibouti, Eritrea, Kenya, South Sudan and Sudan millions of dollars a year to fly over their airspace.

President Sisi receives letter from Afwerki

Thursday، 08 August 2024

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s keenness to advance efforts to deepen the distinguished bilateral relations and cooperation with Eritrea in order to benefit the two peoples and achieve their common interests, particularly in light of the growing regional challenges that necessitate closer dialogue on ways to address them.

The President’s remarks came as he received yesterday Eritrean Foreign Minister Osman Saleh in Cairo. The meeting was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration, Badr Abdel Aaty, Head of the General Intelligence Service Abbas Kamel, and the Eritrean Ambassador to Egypt.

According to the Presidency Spokesman, President Sisi received a letter from Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki, in which he expressed appreciation for President Sisi the strong relations between the two countries.

The Eritrean president said he looked forward to enhancing consultation and coordination on issues of mutual interest.

The meeting also covered regional issues, with a focus on the security threats in the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea. Both sides stressed the importance of continued joint coordination and consultation at various levels to support stability and security in the region.

Banning Ethiopia airlines from Eritrean aerospace is likely coming. That means, Ethiopian airlines can fly over Sudan ( very critical ), Djbouti, Somalia and Kenya. That clearly, will show the fall out between Isayas and Abbiy. With all this RedSea bull, I never believed they had a fall out. I always believed that they were still close friends behind the curtain. Abbiy is just trying to be another Isayas. Ride the ultimate chair till death do us part. Abbiy is habitual lier. He will take Ethiopia to Abbys just to maintain power. You can take that the bank.
