President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Governor-General David Hurley of the Commonwealth of Australia, King Felipe VI of Spain, and President Zoran Milanović of the Republic of Croatia extended wishes for good health to President Isaias Afwerki and for peace and prosperity to the people of Eritrea.

In their messages, General Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno of the Republic of Chad, President Hakainde Hichilema of the Republic of Zambia, President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa of the Republic of Zimbabwe, and President Tharman Shanmugaratnam of the Republic of Singapore wished good health to President Isaias Afwerki and peace and prosperity to the Eritrean people.

They also expressed their countries' readiness to develop bilateral ties with Eritrea.

I recall few years ago I responded to Zemeslo who was the higdef cadre here and who is gone with the wind when he was posting here as "breaking news" telling us...The president of the solomon islands or of sri lanka or of burkina faso etc.. Sent a congratulatory message to kibur president...bla.. Bla..

I tell you and as I told Zemeslo how international protocol works, each country has an archive house, a section which is under its foreign ministry. They follow a protocol which they have in hand and they already possess the signature of their presidents. All what they have to do is to send the congratulatory letter based on the incident.

Let me share with you how the protocol is routine. When Syria was celebrating its national day some years ago, the president of Syria received a congratulatory letter from the Tunesian government.

You know what? It was signed by president zen-alabidin who was long ousted from power and dead as well. The syrian government was shocked and asked for clarification. The Tunesian government apologized and the poor guy who was in the archive was fired from his job.

Zemeslo was convinced then and never shared the bla.. Bla.. Thereafter.

President Isaias Afwerki has extended his deepest condolences to Mr. Mohammad Mokhber, the Interim President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, following the tragic helicopter crash near Jolfa in Eastern Azerbaijan province. The crash claimed the lives of Mr. Ebrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and other senior officials.

President Isaias Afwerki expressed his sincere sympathies on behalf of the Government and the people of Eritrea, as well as on his own behalf, to Mr. Mohammad Mokhber, Government and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran as well as to the families of the deceased.
