Eritrea transferring power to the next generation

Post by Mesob » 18 Apr 2024, 22:59

Issaias Afeworki is busy these days in arranging the power transfer for the next generation. As you may have guessed it, wrongly, it is not Prince Abraham Afewerki. The next president is Ato Yemane Gebreab, the president's political advisor and secretary of the PFDJ.
Ato Yemane will be in power for two to three years, until Prince Abraham gets ready with his team.
So far, Prince Abraham has taken full control of the presidential office with his newly China trained team. He is working on his security team that will soon control the civilian and army security apparatus.
As most news outlets are saying, it is not Prince Abraham that will immediately take power, it is ato Yemane Gebreab first, then the Prince.
