It is possible to have this man ( ስብሃት ነጋ ) ' investigated' but are there Ethiopians in the US capable and willing to actively initiate an investigation????

It has been and still it is much easier to organize the diaspora Ethiopian community protests outside the white house than getting them to engage in the practical side of things.

Who can be prosecuted before the ICC? The ICC prosecutes individuals, not groups or States. Any individual who is alleged to have committed crimes within the jurisdiction of the ICC may be brought before the ICC.

Preliminary examinations
The Office of the Prosecutor must determine whether there is sufficient evidence of crimes of sufficient gravity falling within the ICC’s jurisdiction, whether there are genuine national proceedings, and whether opening an investigation would serve the interests of justice and of the victims.

If the requirements are not met for initiating an investigation, or if the situation or crimes are not under the ICC’s jurisdiction, the ICC’s Prosecution cannot investigate.

This a very good question. I am pretty sure there are capable legal experts but how much committed to the cause of justice back home remains to be seen. I have heard an announcement Mega meeting to be held in Washington DC, I would be happy they could take this opportunity. Getting Sebhat Nega in court would be one practical step. There are plenty of families from Welqait who are victim of his ethnic cleansing, they should put pressure to sue him. The diaspora should not waste match time gathering around White house for we know the result, they should challenge many TPLF criminals living abroad. The low hanging fruit first.
