The interviewer was not qualified enough to be tasked with such kinds of job. In any case, the US sensing the pressure is changing its tones and will try its best to slow down the military victory by the Ethiopian forces to enable TPLF gain back its strength and once again turn the country upside down.

This ESAT guy has never impressed me with his silly questions. He is an embracement to the people of the Horn. It is sad that ESAT can't come up with a better interviewer than this guy. What a shame. In fact, I refused to watch his usual bemoaning "You know, Ethiopia was an ally of the US for a long time", and "What can Ethiopia do to have a better relationship with the US now"? Clearly begging for US "friendship" despite it being the culprit that has caused the problem we all are facing! What a jerk!

Well, we should envy the personality of Feltman. He was very polite and down to earth when he addressed all the questions of Gizaw even though the questions were very elementary and stupid.

Why would you ask US to change the Ethiopian constitution that Abiy is in love with? Why would you feel the urge to make a point about the election as fair and democratic as if Feltman didn't know it was fake even by the standards of Ezema and Birr Amtu? Why would you ask about justice system when your Mamo Killo is jailing everyone he is scared of like Eskindir Nega without and evidence for a year and a half and going on?
All the questions Gizaw raised were appropriate for Abiy adminstration officials if they have a gut to appear on a media like this one for challenging questions. The only time few Ethiopians appear on international media, they start and finish by accusing the same media they appear on of falsifying news.

Please learn from Feltman and be respectful to the audience and answer question truthfully and make your points concisely.

Thank you Ambassador Feltman for your respect for Ethiopians. We have never got such type of respect from our own so called "leaders".

I say, Sisay/Messay would've done a better job; possibly using Gizaw's skill as a go in between taking advantage of his English skills?

Gizaw is a good man in many ways including of not being a short memory fellow. There is no doubt of him having a clear mind on TPLF/EPRDF and pro Abiy however, enthusiasm alone didn't work in this task; Feltman is too big of topic for him to dust off his rusted but rather decent past interview skills.

Having said that, this interview made me think that we all probably made a mountain out of TDF molehill. We & possibly the government included bought TPLF media blitz as real; we're finding them to be just paper tigers, nothing more.

No wonder then, Flitman can get by with the whole interview by just saying " That is a question to you Ethiopians" ! Damn!

It's like managing little children for him; parents can put "sanctions"? Right? But, the kids eventually need to learn how to do conflict resolution.

Yes, it can be very embarrassing for us Ethiopians to hear that! It is not that we don't know it.

Granted, foreigners have a role but, we should soul search and only do so much of pointing our fingers on others.

If I remember right, Gizaw is also a Techi type; managed software engineers. Feltman is a career politician and was disarming. He called Abiy names in the beginning, not any more. He travelled to UAE, Sudan, Turkey, Kenya, Egypt.. Was that all to let Ethiopians decide for themselves? NOT!

Abiy/Ethiopia winning has brought senses to him and the Biden administration.

Gizaw is an honest guy; he's not a combative career media guy; he expected Jeffery to be combative as he was in the beginning and prepared expecting the ambassador to forcefully advocate once more that the Amhara should withdraw from "Western Tigrai"? and other nonsense stuff like that however, Feltman in the interview acted like impartial; went on to defend what Gizaw stood for all along! Saying, Ethiopians should be in charge of their own destiny etc.. Gizaw was dumbfounded with that "fair" answer and the whole interview ended up to be a waste of time for all of us.

I believe Gizaw was dumbfounded by the appearance of Feltman on his show. I bet Feltman himself requested to appear on the show to disguise his will he imposed on the closed door negotiations. He wanted to neutralize the Amhara elits and the diaspora of their resistance to the agreement of surrendering Wolkait to Tigray. He was even sounding very supportive of Abiy which we know he hates to the bone.
