It was the elections held in India that helped spread the COVID virus, causing a death toll of 250,000 people, and 22 million confirmed cases. That's a staggering price to pay for an election that could have been postponed.

The Indian diaspora armchair politicians who pushed for the elections are indifferent to the suffering of the Indian poor bearing the heavy brunt of COVID and callous decisions made by the elite.

The scheduled elections in Ethiopia should be postponed indefinitely to prevent the country from descending into COVID hell.

The neo-colonial media that have already spent countless hours preparing fake news reports condemning the Ethiopian elections as "undemocratic and unfair", will be very disappointed if the elections is to be postponed. I, personally, would like to see them feel disappointed. :P

In most countries in Africa, including your Kilil Tigray, elections are a prerequisite to qualify the countries for western food aid. One of the US founding-fathers, John Adams wrote: "Democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes exhausts and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide." It is for this reason that the United States is a republic and not a democracy. A republic is a system of government where the power rests with the nation's citizens. My country Eritrea is a Republic.
