Global firepower: Ethiopia & Saudi rank 29th & 27th respectively in millitary might

Postby Beleche » 01 Mar 2013, 21:21

According to Global fire power, an institution that determines the millitary power of countries around the world using 40 parameters, Ethiopia ranks 29th and Saidi Arabia 27th in the world. Not a huge difference.

What the website doesn't take into account is the people's degree of heroism and cowardice which is important specially in massive ground wars. While Ethiopians (specially Tigrayan-Ethiopians) are the most heroic people in the whole world, Arabs in general and Saudis in particular are the most coward people. So even though Ethiopia ranks just below saudi in overall millitary power, adding the cowardice factor to the whole picture Ethiopia stands a good chance of defeating the Saudi [deleted].

I read the report a week ago which is published every year, and it is scientific, you can have your opinion about Ethiopia but it has nothing to do with food security, it is merely rating world military power rank, and it didn't surprise me to see Ethiopia ranking respectably well among the middle countries in terms of its military strength, capability and modernity. This is a great news for us. wait until we get those F-15's

There really is no comparision between Saudi Arabia and Ethiopia.

Saudis have the most advanced fighter and ground attack aircraft, almost a thousand.

The Ethiopian aircraft are also fairly advanced, especially the SU-27.

The most advanced Ethiopian tanks are T-72, while the Saudi ones are M1s, the T-72s are no match for the M1s.

Saudi Arabia has naval power, Ethiopia has none.

Saudi Arabia has oil, ethiopia has none.

I don't know how the ranking is done, but Ethiopia can in no way be compared with Saudi Arabia in military and economic power.

If you think Arabs are cowards, you know nothing Arab history.

We don't know arab history b/c they don't have one. What are you talking about? can you name one, I can tell you the only brave general they had was Saladin during the middle ages and he was the only one to stand up against the franks but was no match against England's by the name of Charles in the 11th century. Saladin and the Europeans were fighing over the control of Jerusalem and that's where he made a name for him self, there is no other hero from the arabs. If you know one, please share it with us.

Ethiopia can liberate Saudi Arabia within one week. Saudi has only air power and does not win, the ground war wins.

What Ethiopia needs to accelerate the discovery of Oil and the Dams to generate Revenues and buy military hard wares.

Why should we feed pigs without work. If you want to eat work hard, Government is tax collector not wealth creator Hodam.

halafi, do you really think its a good idea to fight with every country you have a slight disagreement with ?

you want to fight eritrea, take lands, take sudans land, south sudan, take benishangul gumuz, "liberate" saudi, destroy egypt, swap welega for addis (which you dont own to begin with), take afar, destroy amhara, arrest or kill muslim protestors, arrest or kill tplf leaders, split/ "reform" tplf itself, discover more oil to buy more weapons for ethiopia..... dont you think your people need peace and food and not more weapons and wars ?

is there any humanity in you ?????

respectfully, mee

Saudi Arabia has hundreds of M1A2 tanks, the most advanced Woyane tank is T-72. This is what happened to all the Iraqi T-72s when they met the American M1A2s.
