Z children of Negashi & Bilal, Jeberti Tigrians are the 1st muslims in the world.

Not only are Jeberti Tigrayans the dynamo of Ethiopian economy, they are also the castodians of Ethiopian Islam . Besides, as you can see it below, Jeberti Tigrayans are one of the main architects of Tigrayan music.

They were also the first Muslims to be kicked out of Tigrai, Wello and Gonder without their property and their women were forced to convert and serve as concubines for tigraians by Tigraian war lords.
Being a Moslem in Tigrai is still considred a shame. There is no pride in being a Tigraian moslem.

Stupid wedi kelbi, qodar anceba, you are parroting the seditious anti-Tigray propaganda concocted by the traitorous gumames . Thank God Gumames are buried 20 feet under, those icky azzhole donkeys tried to Isolate Tigray by maliciously painting an uwarranted anti-Islam image upon it. The truth however is that Tigrayan muslims and chrsitians are the most harmonious people in the entire world.

Abel [deleted].

Was it not the infamous Hatsey Yohannes who decimated the Jeberti tribe from Tigray and prescuted them to flee from their home country?

degal wediserawit, other than the maliciously invented gumame alubalta, bring another proof for your worthless blah blah. To the contrary, however, the warrior emperor Hatse Yohannes had one of the best relations with Muslims in the entire recent Ethiopian history. His topmost confidant and and best political adviser was a Jebereti, namely, the famous Pasha Abdela of Adwa. Even the queen of England, whenever she sought Yohannes' help, she always felt that whatever Pasha Abdela thought to be right Yohannes would more likely accept , approve, and make it actionable. The only time yohannes had a bad taste with some muslims was when they openly sympathized with Egypt during the Anglo-Egyptian invasion of Gundet & Gurae . Only at that sensitive and highly combustible point of time did he angrily order those few traitorous guys to go and join the Enemy, and he humanely deported them past Keren , towards the-then agnlo-gyptian garrisons. He would have done the same if they were Jews, Hindus, marxists or christians.

Dedebitches are working hard to sell Islam to thier master Arab Alamoudi. History shows that the moslems of north Ethiopia were the first Muslims to be kicked out of Tigrai, Wello and Gonder without their property and their women were forced to convert and serve as concubines for tigraians by Tigre war lords.
Being a Moslem in Tigrai is still considred a shame. There is no pride in being a Tigraian moslem.

Abd Qael Woyane, caught red handed again...trying to pass Eritrean music as that of tigray/ethio but you can't fool anyone except those who aren't from the region, are you one of those deceitful agamat that play/present Eritrean music/artists to foreigners/ferenjis but say that its tigray/ethio? Even your fellow ethio brethren have always preferred Eritrean style, even further many of the tigray artists have pretty much copied the Eritrean style for the past 10-15years. Just a few months ago you were saying that the Araza (Seraye) beat/kuda was inferior and here you are today trying to pass the Eritrean music as that of your people. The Eritrean singer exposed you at 1:40 and sang "Kulu Araza, kulu Araza, Kulu Araza" not 'hulu agamat' (no offense meant to peaceful tegaru) not only that the style is definitely Eritrean!

Secondly, Jeberti is and was a term that applied solely to Eritrea(ns). Some of the original Jeberti were actually deki Kebessa and Eritrean Tigre and didn’t trace their ancestry to those that were expelled and chased out from tigray by Kassa Mercha (Asse Yohannes). However, nowadays, the tegaru/ethio on the other side of the Mereb want to be classified as Eritrean Jeberti even though not too long ago they used to claim they are Tegaru first and Muslim second. A good case in point is Saleh Johar (Gadi) who claimed to be Eritrean but has been exposed as in fact being from Wukro Tigray (aka Dongolo), which explains all his religious/regional attacks on the Eritrean people and kissing of Meles feet. Woyane has been trying to infiltrate the Eritrean Jeberti by using Tigray Muslims and that has been exposed and the Eritrean Jeberti have begun to reject the influence of these Tigray elements and the religious divisions that they had planned. Even further now these same Tigray elements are turning against Woyane after seeing that they can’t even build a mosque in axum and their ‘distant, distant’ cousins on the other side of the border (Eritrea) are living better than them.

Thirdly, the first followers of Islam and Mohamed (pbuh) sought asylum in Eritrea not Ethiopia. They sought the protection of Bahri-Negassi in Debarwa - Hamasien/Seraye region in Eritrea. They would have been helped first by the Eritrean Tigre/Beja/Kebessa long, long before they would have met any tigray/ethio agamat. However, woyane and some tigray elements have been trying to claim that they were the first to accept and help the first Muslim refugees and of all places in axum. Then explain why tigray Muslims haven’t been able to build a Mosque in axum since the beginning of Islam? Even further when the ethio/tigray king Kassa Mercha (asse yohannes) persecuted the tigray Muslims and other ethio Muslims, why did they all run to the protection of Eritrea(ns)? It’s a testament that Eritreans are a cohesive and peaceful people that offer protection to the persecuted. In fact there is a group called the Rashida [translated refugee] (same name as the first followers of Mohamed [pbuh]) who also sought refuge in Eritrea(ns) beginning in the 1800’s from the same Arabia that persecuted Mohammed (pbuh). Again is it another testament or coincidence that both the tigray/ethio Muslims and the arabian Rashidia would both be seeking asylum/refugee in the peaceful people of Eritrea in the 1800’s.

You have been attacking Eritrea(ns) and Eritrean music constantly and I have ignored you for a long time but today I wanted to give you a little taste (buunya ke’kholes’eke or le’goorshesh) :D I hate to use Ethiopian review for such things but you seem to run around here unabated since Azeb released you since she couldn’t deal with the hard hitting, fact presenting articles of Jebha. So for now, stop trying to claim Eritrean music and identity and enjoy your own. here is one I just found for you from your side of the fence…is he mumbling or singing?...oh wait, that is the tigray agamat dialect. I apologize to the artist for using him to humble his wild abd brother. The artist seems to be humble and enjoys his singing in his native style, unlike the inferiority complexed Abd Qael who needs to compare himself/music to Eritreans.

But to the peaceful Tegaru/Ethiopians, respect us Eritreans and work for peace and here is a music I found from your people (tigray/ethio) for your enjoyment and the guy starting at 6:00 is the best dancer (circus tigray dancer!), I will definitely be borrowing that dance step. But unlike the Abd Qael types, I won’t steal/copy/repackage it and then say that your dancing is inferior…LoL

Ethiopians build First Hijrah mosque in America

Muslim Ethiopians built their dream mosque in Washington

By WASHINGTON (Ahmed al-Shiti)

After being denied official construction permission back home, Muslim Ethiopians in the United States built the First Hijrah mosque and community center to commemorate the first immigration in the history of Islam and counter discriminatory practices by the Ethiopian government.

The First Hijrah mosque, literally meaning the mosque of the first immigration, is located in Washington, D.C., almost two miles from the White House.

It is extremely ironic that in Washington we are granted our rights while this is not the case in our homeland
Mosque muzzein Moftah Saeid

The name of the mosque refers to the immigration in year 615 of a group of the prophet's followers, the first to enter Islam, to the northern Ethiopian city of Axum, seeking refuge from the persecution of the Quraish tribe in Mecca.

They lived there under the protection of the Christian Emperor Ashama ibn Abjar, also called al-Najashi [Bahri-Negassi of Debarwa, Eritrea] , who denied Quraish's request to hand the refugees.

To commemorate the first immigration in the history of Islam, Muslims in the city of Axum tried to build their own mosque and were denied permission by the Ethiopian authorities.

Only when Christians are allowed to build a church in Mecca would Muslims in Ethiopia, the Ethiopian government is reported to have stated.

Muslim Ethiopians finally got the chance to realize their dream in the United States where they built the First Hijrah mosque.

The mosque serves 20,000 Muslims who live the neighborhood, said Sheikh Naguib Mohamed, 57, head of the Ethiopian community in Washington.

"We used to pay rent for that mosque then we bought it," he told Al Arabiya.

Mohamed complained of discriminatory practices against Muslims in Ethiopia in general and Axum in particular.

"Not only are we not allowed to build a mosque in the first land that championed the cause of Islam, but we also don't have a cemetery. When Muslims die we have to walk 15 kilometers outside the city to bury them."

The mosque's muzzein, caller for prayers, Moftah Saeid said that he and his fellow Ethiopian Muslims perform their rituals freely unlike in Axum.

"It is extremely ironic that in Washington we are granted our rights while this is not the case in our homeland," he told Al Arabiya.

Belal al-Habashi, 13, is another member of the Muslim Ethiopian community. He learnt the Quran by heart within one year in the Virginia Islamic Center.

"Based on what I hear about the situation of Muslims there, I don't think I could have learnt the Quran had I lived in Axum," he told Al Arabiya.

The First Hijrah mosque consists of two floors, the first for men and the second for women. During the holy month of Ramadan, the mosque organizes banquets so that members of the community can break their fast together and also organizes courses that teach the Quran and the rules of Islam.

The mosque coordinates with several Islamic organizations like the Badr Islamic Association and has a website on the social network Paltalk where it holds cultural and religious dialogues.

It is noteworthy that members of the Ethiopian Muslim speak fluent Arabic. Their recitation of the Quran and call for prayers are not, in fact, different from those in Arab countries.

Re: Z children of Negashi & Bilal, Jeberti Tigrians are the 1st muslims in the world.

Postby Hayal_Bahrigna » 02 Jul 2011, 21:39

Jeberti were always Eritreans, Infact the first mosque to be ever build is only few blocks where im from (massawa).

10 reasons why the Jeberti were eritreans not from tigray:

1/There were no muslims in tigray prior to the 16th century.

2/ the first mosque to ever be biuld in whole tigray was by a yemeni who took the title of negash in the 16th century.

3/ Ahmed gragn upon destroying tigray claimed no muslim lived there and spared Eritrea Highlands because of the minority jeberti population there.

4/ All 50+ Sahaba narration state that Debarwa was the home of the Migrants and the first converts "Jeberti" were among the debarwa locals and few bani amer's who lived among the coast.

5/ According to the highly regarded people like raqiya who was the daughter of the prophet, osman who was The prophet closest follower Ashrem Abher was the ruler of Midri bahri and His foe was The ruler of Ethiopia King estifanos, and according to Bin zubair The two went to war together and the sahaba offered to help but the midri bahri ruler refused and went to the battle (battle of the mereb) while the sahaba and the daughter of the prophet Prayed for his victory and bless The land It ended with a victory and that was the start of the end of the so called (axum confiderancy),The prophet upon hearing This prayed to bless the people of Midri bahri (THIS IS the reason ahmed gragn never attacked Eritrea when he burned tigray to the ground he claimed "these are the people who protected the prophet family and his followers and advised not to bring them any harm). So who are we to believe???1000 of sahaba and arab narrators who mentioned debarwa and zula and massawa or these fairytale Tigrayans who are known for stealing other people'shistory.

6/ How could axum be the first place when a mosque to this day is not allowed to be build???lol surely that's not the mentality of people who 1400 years before used their hands to help build a house of prayers among their churches. (That house of prayers is in debarwa today but not standing anymore its 5km outside the city centre)

7/ After 40 years of invistigating in this matter an egyptian Historian wrote a book with evidence showing That eritrea was were the sahaba migrated not tigray/ethiopia, He claimed That upon his visit to ethiopia the priests denied that ashrem abher ever existed in their record but during the same time Negus Estifanos The first was the ruler which confirmed his early results, He went to Eritrea debarwa and visited one of the old church's and he found ashrem abher to be the ruler for Long period of time There they even had his daily acticvity to what he eat and foriegn Visitors, He claimed That on the first day the sahaba was there a foriegn prince from himyar also visited the city and later he confirmed from Himyar records that the prince claimed few migrants arrived from mecca to seek assylum in debarwa.

8/ The saudi Islamic centre has confirmed few years ago that Eritrea was infact the destination where early muslims migrated, Hence the new mosque biulded (The sahaba mosque) in eritrea was a testimony, The arab long knew that eritreans not ethiopians were who protected the sahaba, this is easily demonstrated today with the way the arabs treat eritreans and ethiopians, Even for an eritrean who is a christian the view is always He/she is eritrean and are treated with respect.

9/ Raqiya who was the daughter prophet remained in debarwa and died there, she had a daughter who married locally and their decandant remained to this day, Her grave is in debarwa to this day, why would you die @ axum and be buried some 100km's away in an enemy territory with so called no muslim population at all???

10/ Upon the return of some of the sahaba to medina after islam spread it was known that the prophet used to say "assena assena" to a baby realtive, Assena is a strictly Eritrean word that is of agazian origin, The tigrayan/ethiopian spoke Habesh Till the 5th century and Words like assena wasn't used in ethiopia till Hundred years after, that was due to the slow process of adopting the Geez Language in everyday life, However the ka-be-sa Highlanders at that time were of agazian roots Mostly Habab and as we know Habab and bani amer's are Agazians of Old Himayr Kingdoms and that was their language.

The History of Jeberti In tigray all started when King isaac of midri bahri was defeated by the ethiopian king and eritrea was colonised, I must add that King isaac should be an icon for eritrea because he lost fighting with his sword and died in the battle, Once he died and eritrea was annexed the border was open between Eritrea and ethiopia, Not just the jeberti from eritrea but even arabs took that opportunity to go to ethiopia for trade...along this time The name "Tigray" was refered to tigray meaning in arabic a place for trade, From the 1600's Till the 1800's Muslims from yemen and jeberti from eritrea who were made up over the years of local kebessa converts + tigre Muslims who settled in the highlands + other ethnic groups who were muslims in Eritrea moved to tigray to conduct trade, The most famous trade was the ottoman coffee supply were merchants brought it from tigray to massawa and the ottoman fed the whole world, Eritrea was roughly not even 10% Muslim population, Those Muslims in Ethiopia were now known as a new name "Belew" a name at that time given to muslims From eritrea, as Business was good at first jeberti Didn't trust to invest Money or buy anything in tigray, They had all their wealth mostly in Zula (a port south of massawa) and over time Jeberti's who were low in numbers had properties in debarwa and zula, Muslims In eritrea before 15th century were concentrated in 3 area's Debarwa, massawa and zula due to the trade with arabian land alot moved there or migrated there from arab countries for business. The arab from yemen who went to yemen refered to themseves also as jeberti but they weren't jeberti in origin, some even inserted a label like "al nagashi" to create credibility.

As time went into the 18th and then 19th century jeberti who were based in eritrea but moved to ethiopia for business started to settle in tigray and buying lands+shops and dominated economy, their power of wealth was soo enoromous that in 100 years since they started to buy land and dominate trade they owned nearly 60% of the land and majority of the economy, Now in eritrea their number to share ratio was still high but due to them being mostly local that wealth somehow benfited everyone muslim or christian, But their power in tigray was seen as "belew" the eritrean muslims are owning everything, now for less than %1 of the population to control alot that was alarm bells to the Tigrayans, as hostility grew many picked the signs and sold everything and returned back to eritrea, some other jeberti still had faith that this won't effect them,The smart one's saw the trend and knew it won't be long till the church get into the king's ear for some unjust.by the end of the 19th century that fear came, with the church and the priest's chants of "send these muslims back to eritrea" King yohannes caved in to the pressure of the priests of demanding that "these belew who came from Eritrea own everything and you must act" but what happened next was unexpected, 3 options either convert to christianity or give everything and go back to eritrea (sound familiar 1998-2000???) or death. Many gave up everything for having hope it wouldn't turn to this and came back to eritrea to start from scratch again mainly settling in seraye, many died for giving up what they and their fathers and grandfathers worked for and few converted for loathe of wealth.Thier return was helped by their fellow jeberti who didn't venture outside eritrea and the early smart jeberti who reminded them "i told you so", many christians lend a hand as well although their christian Kins were in a situation similar to modern day tutsi went through, close to 70% of the highland population was wiped out and according to an english traveller babies, kids old woman were among the slaughtered bodies littering most of the highland villages.(Check the population of Eritrea between 1890-1900 for proof)

Among the jeberti who returned was a general who was among yohannes best nicknamed the Fearless warrior, His name was General berhanu a jeberti who's grandfather hailed from Debarwa, yohannes fearing his anger for his fellow jeberti blood and also tried to kill him, general berahanu escaped returned to eritrea, Eritrea was in the aftermath of the worst massacre that happened to its local population by no other than ras alula, General berhanu was crushed to witness that even his christian Old nighbours weren't spared, so he seeked revenge, and what revenge that was, assembled a small army from kebessa and facitilate an alliance with the bani amer horsemens to take yohannes out, but he was a general and knew that he still had no chance beating the 250,000 yohannes army, so he looked around and saw another yohannes enemy near by,Their name was the mahdist...No one liked the mahidst,Not kebessa not berhanu not jeberti not any eritreans but mahdist as bad as they were never threatened or invaded eritrea, so he managed to make an alliance between the Kebessa Fighters + Bani amer horsemen + halenga Fighters and join the mahdist, for people who don't know what that was it was like The taliban today making an allaince with america and russia, and all to remove the disease south of the mereb, and metema it was and according to battle records after yohannes was shot it was actually an eritrean who beheaded yohannes, his head was paraded in khartoum and at the same time a whole quarter/area was named after berhanu (Geza berahnu) in asmara,I have met many jeberti's from eritrea and ethiopia tigray and funny how the eritrean jeberti claim they are eritreans and tigrayan jeberti claim they are also eritreans in origin (samora younis claimed few years ago that he is eritrean origin and proud of it), so Jeberti=Eritreans....there was hardly any muslims in tigray between 1890-1895 so if tigrayan claim jeberti today they are either eritreans or Tigrayan muslims who moved to tigray from amhara/wollo/harrar etc and converted to islam or were initially muslims.
