Re: SOMALILAND REPUBLIC WILL JOIN UN, ETHIOPIAN NAVY WILL SAIL ON RED SEA & INDIAN OCEAN!

This is an opportune moment for Somaliland to seize real fast before Abiy Ahmed's regime is gone. This will certainly give the future Ethiopia access to Sea. We know who every has the pen in his/her hand either hurts or helps. Example, Evil Meles Zenawi hurt Ethiopia by singing away Ethiopian's sovereign ports to Eritrea province much out of his evil intent and the rest under voluntary duress of Herman Cohen and the West. Will this same pen in the hand of another evil man accidently help Ethiopia?
What will be Eritrea, Egypt and Turkey's reaction? Cannot wait to hear their reaction. However, I caution Fano not to meddle with this Somaliland stuff. If Fano public relations unwisely comment on this it will not be a good idea.

Somaliland offering Ethiopia unfettered access to the sea in exchange for recognition, too good to be true. good for Somaliland economy too, unfortunately there is Egypt and Eritrea that are not too happy about it not to mention Somali itself. we believe it when we see it.

Abere,

I agree. Fano shouldn't say anything about this matter. Fano simply fight its fight. I also fully agree with what you said about the unintended consequences of actors. In fact, it is one of the core principles of action theory. A particular actor acts in certain way based on his/her motives and objectives but by the logic of other things that action may produce results different or opposite from the intentions of the actor. As you well know this is a common observation in the behavior of persons.

It will be the same here. Abiy wants this deal so badly for his image and for his next election. The Somaliland president also want this deal so badly for his next November election. As history will show both Abiy and Bihi? will go away and Ethiopia and Soamiland will go on.

Horus,

Somaliland's quest for independence given it governed herself peacefully for more than 3 decades exposed the hubris and hypocrisy of those nations who towered themselves as champions of democracy. In a world where a dozen of newly so-called "independent" countries often under their tutelage ( including those in the region such as South Sudan and Eritrea) unable to stand on their feet, blocking the aspiration of Somaliland is morally repugnant and unlawful. What does it feel for a 34 years old adult Somalilander to be blocked the world of opportunity for he/she cannot have access to the world because of issue of nationality? This person does not know Somalia, and it is illegal to seal a fake of Somalia citizenship stamp - that is like a slavery mark en route. In any case, by miracle or accident Somaliland is about to be recognized by Ethiopia - this an excellent opportunity for Somalia for it is getting this credit from the oldest founder of UN itself and OAU and an uncolonized nation in the world. Somaliland could not ask better than being conferred upon her by Ethiopia. It is a good deal for Ethiopia as well, given Ethiopia will have decades of ownership and access to the sea.

Who ever comes and goes, both Somaliland and Ethiopia will benefit. There is no doubt Somaliland will be the Singapore of Africa. They are good people too, they are not warlike people. They proved this to the world. They are not beast or monster as Orommuma nor liar and violent as Woyane people.

Time exposes everything, who is going to fund this navy? Ethiopia is broke.
Port access is much needed and appreciated especially for those states directly bordering somaliland such as the somali kilil then the next closest like oromia; but who is pushing for this behind the scenes?
Time shall tell, indeed.

Fano cannot comment on such things anyway, because so far, it is an Amara only party, struggling for the Amara interests only; so the closest ports for them would be sudan and eritrea. Many fano supporters agree, online, and say they ''hate the big bad gallas'' and want to ''help greater somalia by taking galla lands and afar lands to join somalia,'' So I agree, fano should just fight, and ignore this, right guys? Right!

Talking to yourself can be a sign of a mental health condition.

In addition, relying religiously on the fabrications and bullsh.it of a Pakistani YouTuber sitting in his shop in Pakistan shows how seriously low your IQ is.

Sadacha,

Your insincerity is very conspicuous

1) When was division and ownership of ports by ethnicity decided?
2) Who said (other than OLF/TPLF) Fano is exclusively Amhara
3) Why does Fund source for Navy concern you than whether Ethiopia should have navy.

It is true the Navy will fund itself. It is guarding the business and commercial interest of Ethiopia - this part of the operational cost of any business enterprise. Had Ethiopia owned navy during the out break of Badme crisis, those goods at Assab port would not been looted. The navy protects assets from pirates, looters, and aberrant forceful officials.

Honestly, you sound like Shabia activist you always talk things in terms of OLF, Amhara, Oromo, etc. because you cannot deal with logic. That is not countries in the world function to exist.

You're a charlatan, just like the Indian in the above clip, who told his friends that he was going to pull out a massif poisonous snake, when in the end he only pulls out nothing but his own fuc'king belt, which he hid in there in advance.

This Indian plays his bullsh.it better than you, as he at least excites his audiences and makes them have a strong belief in him, while you got slammed day one, and since you just keep doubling down, hiding behind stupid usernames. I'm sure, in actual, you would have been embarrassed and zipped it up.

1. Proximity matters, for example, if Amara or Tigray decided to secede; would they try to use assab and massawa; or try to use djibouti, port lamu of kenya and berbera port of Somaliland?
Obvious what the answer is.

2) Fano is Amara, hence the reason why Amara's are its members, its soldiers, and its support base. It hasn't evolved to a pan ethiopian movement until it can gain support from outside of Amara region and people.
Amara nationalists, whether here or elsewhere, even admit this, even though it's obvious.

3) Fund itself, how? Who will purchase the ships, pay the salaries, etc? If it funds itself, then sure, let's see. I am not against it in theory, I just think Ethiopia already has many problems it has yet to solve.

I am beginning to love this discussion. The anti-Ethiopian motley collection is shifting its pipe dreams from impossibility of an Ethiopian Navy to a financial inability of Ethiopia to finance a navy force. How idiotic could this motley collection of dance of anger be in asking such stupid question! How does Ethiopia finance its military force today? Forget a Navy, Ethiopia has financed GERD.

ሞት ቢዘገይ የቀረ ይመስላታል! These same countries opposing Ethiopia's visions will begin to ask the deployment of our navy to protect their cargo ships.

Horus, being realistic isn't being anti Ethiopian. I know that you've adopted the extremist unionist ideology of some Amara elites, hence the reason why some associate Gurages with being the mindless sidekicks of Amara elites, but the truth is you're anti Ethiopian to an extent yourself. You hate the Oromo, who is the backbone of Ethiopia and whose land is the geographic backbone of Ethiopia. That's anti Ethiopian for sure sir. You accuse us of so called tribalism while you're a tribalist yourself, which is proven when you denigrate Oromos while praising gurages, saying gurages should rule, gurages are the best, superior, etc, etc.
Personally I'd love for Ethiopia to have a navy, strong and modern defense forces, etc, but a bit of healthy skepticism is always good. Not to mention that having a navy while millions starve is ironically cruel. Food security should be a top priority. Of course, unless, you believe a navy is more important than our people.
"Defending cargo ships " and the "red sea" while millions starve. Sounds ridiculous.

What's more important, producing your own food to find dignity, or sail across the oceans without a compass?

It's not surprising that, people who convinced themselves that they can never achieve anything and will forever be dependent on food-aid would choose to sail, because they can always solicit food-aid to feed themselves, thanks to their diplomatic finesse.

Now I am beginning to agree with Abere that you are an Eritrean so deeply worried about a maritime Ethiopia in the Horn Africa. But, this is inevitable.

Fiyameta,

As an Eritrean, you need to begin to make sense. The way you want Eritrea to relate to Ethiopia is 100% wrong and it reveals that you have not formulated any meaningful or practical vision of how you want to live with Ethiopia.

You underlying narrative that Ethiopia could be manipulateable and can be used as good catholic is so false and mistaken that it show you have no strategic understanding about the Ethiopian reality.

Ethiopia is a highly dynamic, resourceful, too big to fail nation. IMF just stated that we will continue to grow at 6% per year.

አማርኛ ከኔ ይበልጥ ስለምታቅ ይህን አባባል ልተውልህ ፤ ጋን ቢጠራረግ እንስራ ይወጣዋል! Ethiopia with 130 million 70% of them under the age 40 is a reality you need to deeply grasp. More than 30 million school going youth which is 10 times the population of Eritrea.

So expect growth, fire works, explosions and dynamism!!!! And, meditate on how you want to relate with/to this giant. Stop talking about Ethiopian poverty and begin to define your relationship with us. Don't be a fool!

For over two decades, the IMF was deliberately churning out fake "11% economic growth" report for Ethiopia when over 20 million Ethiopians were dependent on international food-aid.

The fake reports helped the Ethiopian people become comfortably numb to the pain associated with ballooning IMF debt, to which over 4 million young Ethiopian girls were shipped to Arab countries as housemaids to help pay the national debt through remittances they send home.

The luxury of having the largest population is the people are expendable. You can easily lose 4 million young girls overnight, and virtually feel no pain, or 1.5 million young people can get killed fighting a mercenary war, and no one notices their absence. In a country where compulsive lying is a coping mechanism, the truth takes a backseat..... true to the old adage: ድሀ በህልሙ ቅቤ ባይጠጣ ኖሮ እከክ ይጨርሰው ነበር! :P

I'm so glad that we Eritreans are no longer part of the House of Cards crumbling under the weight of its massive debt.
