Ethiopia is trying hard to modernize itself, but shouldn't neglect the importance of accessibility

Accessibility is not an option, it is a compulsory component of any sort of a service, be it public or private service or goods, refer to the likes of European Accessibility Act, as an example, or other countries' acts in this regard.

It is in line with our societal value of anti-discrimination against anybody. All should be allowed to enjoy the services without any sort of accessibility challenges/limits, specially if this is technically possible.

Looking at the streets of Addis Abeba, where it is striving currently to live up to its name, finally, and make itself as beauty as its name denotes, we see scenes like in the following video. People with some sort of disabilities, not only bodily disabilities but also elderly people, sick, and the likes, can never dare to use things like as simple as walk-ways with the required ease. It is not a singular happenstance, but a widespread occurrence. This is unacceptable and should be given highest level of attention, in order to take care for the well beings of our less privileged residents and visitors. It shouldn't be considered our own subjective goodwill or fairness but a mandatory component of the services we provide to the public and others.

Let's strive to enable everybody enjoy life without limitations.
