The disintegration of war-torn Ethiopia is the only way out the never ending cycle of extreme poverty and civil war, After all, War-torn landlocked Ethiopia is an artificial project of Europeans 19th century colonial endeavor in Africa, however, each and every ethnic group will take its destiny into its own hands.

January 31, 2024

At least 80 civilians were reportedly massacred in Merawi, a town about 35 kilometers from Bahir Dar City, the seat of the regional government on Monday this week soon after Fano Forces completed operations targeting the military training facility in the locality of Chinatown in the outskirts of the town. Multiple local credible sources are reporting the death toll could be much higher.

Ethiopia Gallas extend state of emergency in Amhara Region

ADDIS ABABA, Feb 2 (Reuters) - Ethiopia's parliament on Friday extended by four months a state of emergency declared in August to respond to an insurgency in the northern region of Amhara that has resulted in hundreds of deaths and drawn accusations of widespread human rights abuses.

Fighting erupted in Amhara last July between federal forces and a local militia called Fano, which has accused the government of undermining the region's security.

The state of emergency handed the government powers to impose curfews, restrict people's movement and ban public gatherings. Since August, government forces have pushed Fano fighters out of cities but fighting has continued in smaller towns and rural areas.
Parliament said the extension was granted following a request by the justice minister and deliberations among lawmakers. The government denies it is seeking to undermine Amhara's security.

Ethiopia : gov’t soldiers shot to death a six months pregnant woman

February 2, 2024

There are more than eighty-five different countries in war-torn Ethiopia.

borkena

More details are emerging about an unprecedented mass execution in Merawi, Gojam, last Monday which reportedly happened shortly after Fano Forces withdrew from the town – which is only 35 kilometers from Bahir Dar.

Hospital sources have confirmed that a six months pregnant woman was shot to death in Merawi. BBC Amharic cited a staff of the primary hospital in the town, apparently the source spoke on condition of anonymity, as saying “twenty five wounded people were brought to the hospital. One of them was six months pregnant. ‘None of them survived’ .”

Another eyewitness who declined to disclose his name told BBC Amharic that his younger brother was killed. He said his brother was told to hand over his kid to his wife, taken out to the street and executed.

The number of people executed on Monday in Merawi is between 50 and 100. Some residents tend to think that number could be higher

Amharas are really caught between a rock and a hard place, Amhara region is at a geographical disadvantage as a fully landlocked region, which means that Amharas will never win this war against Gallas unless they cooperate with other ethnic groups, Low IQ Galla parasites have proven themselves to be much more dangerous than woyane but they won't dare start a war with Somalis, they know their limits when it comes to Somalis.

The answer is a big yes, Ethiopia is already facing backlash from western countries in many ways, no more foreign direct investment (FDI) and financial assistance aid for aid-dependent Ethiopia.

War-torn Ethiopia is neither Egypt nor the UAE, It is a poverty-stricken landlocked country and it will pay heavy price for joining Anti-West Bloc, the United States will punish Ethiopia and make it an example to other African countries.

Tigrayans can cry all they want but it's not going to change their future, Tigray is a tiny resourceless landlocked zone, It doesn't have what it takes to be an independent country, however, there are ethnic groups way worse than Tigrayans.

Take the tiny poverty-stricken subhuman Gurage listro ethnic group who are blessed with neither land nor IQ, for example, they are trapped in a very small resourceless zone in the middle of war-torn Ethiopia and have no control over their lives, they cannot survive on their own.

Toronto – Fighting between Fano and government troops was reported in Merhabete North Shoa, Amhara region. The fighting is said to have started on Saturday and has entered its third day, according to Ethiopian Media Service (EMS) which cited sources from the area.

Merhabete had been under Fano forces for at least a few months now until it was recaptured by government troops last week. Based on reports, they sent to the area a large number of reinforcements including paratroopers. Fano forces say they had to withdraw from the town to avoid civilian causality, as has been the case before in other parts of the Amhara region after government forces resorted to indiscriminate heavy weaponry shelling.

Rights Group confirms over 80 killed in Merawi, Amhara region

February 7, 2024

Merawi Town (Photo : PD)

Ethiopian News sources, including borkena, had been reporting that somewhere between 80 and 100 unarmed civilians were executed by Ethiopian government troops in Merawi on January 29, 2024 shortly after a battle between Fano forces and government soldiers.

A statement from the Ethiopian Human Rights Council (EHRCO), released on February 6, 2024, confirms that 80 civilians who do not have participation in the conflict were killed.

EHRCO highlighted that the war in the Amhara region of Ethiopia is worsening. Identifying Merawi town in West Gojjam as one of the areas where there has been recurring conflict, it said: “it has received information indicating severe human rights violations during the conflict between government security forces and armed groups on 20/05/2016 E.C. [January 29, 2024].”

Transportation in the town was completely stopped and persons with no participation in the conflict were killed, beaten and intimidated, the statement indicated.

European Union calls for an investigation into Merawi targeted killings

February 13, 2024

Last week, the United States Embassy in Addis Ababa issued a similar statement calling for an impartial investigation into the incident.

Addis Ababa, February 16/2024, Ethiopia's Minister of Foreign Affairs Taye Atske-Selassie confered with , US Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, Molly Phee and US Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa, Ambassador Mike Hammer.

Molly Phee, US Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs and Ambassador Mike Hammer, US Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa, give the Ethiopian Prime Minister a long-list of things war-torn landlocked aid-dependent Ethiopia cannot do.

The United States is holding up war-torn Ethiopia's request for a $3.5 billion loan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and a similar amount from the World Bank and all other financial aid, Moreover, US has suspended security assistance to war-torn Ethiopia, War-torn Ethiopia’s membership in the BRICS will prove a costly mistake.

African Union will certainly relocate its headquarters to another country.

Addis Ababa February 20 /2024 (ENA) Finance Minister Ahmed Shide met with US Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Ambassador Molly Phee, the Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa Ambassador Michael Hammer and US Ambassador to Ethiopia Ervin Massinga.

On the occasion, the Minister briefed the US Delegation on Ethiopia’s economic situation, prospects and ongoing macroeconomic reforms critical for growth and jobs.

The two sides held constructive discussions on working together to address Ethiopia’s humanitarian needs, including mobilizing such support through the IMF and World Bank.

War-torn Ethiopia must secure an International Monetary Fund (IMF) loan by March 31, 2024, as mandated by the Paris Club of developed creditor nations. Failure to meet this deadline could nullify war-torn landlocked Ethiopia’s agreement with bilateral creditors to suspend debt payments until 2025.

They traveled to Somalia where they met with President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud to reaffirm the United States of America’s full support for Somalia’s sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity and signed a multimillion dollar contract (Memorandum of Understanding) to construct up to five modern military bases for the Somali National Army, then they traveled to war-torn & cash-strapped Ethiopia, A miserable country run by low intelligence Galla scumbags.

The other matter is that if Ethiopia begins building water-consuming irrigation dams with a storage volume that affects the share of Egypt, this is also a red line.”

Egypt knows Ethiopia is a landlocked country damaged by unending misery and crisis and home to more than eighty five different ethnic groups with different cultural and linguistics back grounds who despise each other, A country that is divided beyond repair.

More than 150 Amharas were brutally killed just last week in Arsi zone, Oromiya.
Lady,

Stop smoking and sniffing too much, hoping to divide and weaken the mighty Ethiopia will never succeed even if you bark and rant for thousand years. Go and keep cleaning your colonial master's toilets and collect crumbs from the floor like rats instead.
