Learning about inflation from these vegetable and fruit traders

It is not that prices are always rising. Some goods also become cheaper based on availability (production), demand and season. Falling of prices of some goods is not something we normally hear in Ethiopia which makes us believe that inflation is impossible to tackle but in real life prices of goods indeed also fall even in Ethiopia giving us a hint that inflation is manageable to some extent.

The main cause of price inflation seems to be is lack of production. The more the market is flooded with goods the cheaper it gets and lack of goods makes prices to rise as we are currently witnessing with edible oil worldwide.

FYI: most prices in the video are per KG.
