Tekezemado, I am just an Ethiopian. Period. As for Debretsion wanting negotiation, he is too late. It might have been much better for him to respond positively when Abiy had told him to take his ridiculous gloves off, and surrender to the law.
It is too late now. He added another crime : subjugating Tigrean kids to unnecessary death.

Negotiations is the best thing for the Amhara region and its people right now. It needs time to regroup, rearm, and train enough force. At the same time its people are now being targeted for riprisal attack by woyanes so until Amhara has a strong force to protect its region and people, a negotiated cease fire is a wonderful opportunity.

As it stands, Amhara is being attacked in two fronts, TPLF and Abiy. As a result it has no chance against woyane. It desperately needs time to recuperate and get in equal footing with the Oromo and Tigray region forces.

--- Someone must be stupid to think of negotiation with TPLF. TPLF blew up its chance for negotiation in November 2020 when it massacred ENDF North Command and intentionally carried out the genocide of ethnic Amhara in Mai-Kadra, North Gondar. TPLF burnt all the bridges toward peaceful negotiation. I am wondering what kind of conscience will allow one to ignore the blood of these innocents and sit in a round table with their enemy - would not their crying soul in the name of Ethiopia condemn us? Yes, it would. How about all the atrocities, infidelity by working with foreign mercenaries, defamation and tarnishing of Ethiopia around the world? TPLF should be finished off. It should be removed from Tigray, it can't be left intact if we want Ethiopia to have a lasting peace. TPLF is the disease of Ethiopia. And Ethiopia does not deserve to live with a disease indefinitely. TPLF is an opportunistic disease, finding time and place, to take out the life and soul of the country. All, please don't be naïve about this.

You seem to be cheerleading the destruction of Tigray. Then what do you expect your backyard to be, kept intact by Woyanes? If you heard the saying "what goes around comes around " you wouldn't be happy about the havoc done on Tigray. Any military adventure should be conducted with discipline and specific goal of resolving an issue not unruly destruction with rugged thug army.

Speaking of negotiations, it helps the losing side stop the bleeding and the winner get some concessions so it is always win win. Whether you like it or not, woyane is winning, running over Amhara land raping amhara women, looting Amhara property and killing and diplacing Amhara people. The war is fought in Amhara land , not in Tigray. That should tell you who is bleeding. Just get the ceasefire by hook or crook and stop further damage. Empty rhetoric will not save a single Amhara life, property or ego.

Our mistake is believing that Abyi Ahmed is as patriotic as most of Ethiopian. He came through TPLF and he might not like the JUNTA leaders but he like the junta constitution and looting and and ethnic based power.
One thing every body should notice about this Abyi is that he is like sadist. Have you ever heard of him condemning TPLF, OLF or any other hardline groups for killing of civilians. Have ever heard him feeling sorry for he Amhara peoples killed by the JUNTA for that matter any of Amhara without any protection killed by Oromos in Oromia region no never!

he is enjoying like Melees Zenawi said" i want to see Amhara begging on the street of Addis like Tigre did and does" Abyi share that same idea.
