It should be done to benefit our people, not to harm others.
But yes oromia should do so.

Bwendimu: No wonder why Siad Barre captured the Bale mountains and tried to annex it, because he know how evil your people were and how much of a threat they were against the Somalis.

The Somali nomads who herd livestock animals such as Camel, Cattle, Sheep and Goat will not be affected at all. It'll mostly be Somali farmers and urban people who would mostly suffer but according to the U.N law. It is illegal to create a dam and stop all the waters from flowing because you're basically committing mass murder.

Lastly, it is recognized as Jubba and Shabelle rivers not in you gallanized version and there are other two more rivers you forgot called Dawa and Dollo rivers too. I doubt you have the wealth to make 4 dam since Ethiopia is struggling with the grand Renaissance dam.

No! All rivers that supply Somalis with water - both permanent & seasonal ones - originate in Oromia. 'River Dawa' is a tributary of 'River Ganaale' [Bantus of Southern Somalia called it Juba] & the two major rivers that flow into Somalia - namely 'Wabe' [Shebelle in Somalia] & 'Ganaale' [Juba] have their sources from the same spring located at the foothills of Bale Mountains [not far from the town of Shashamane as shown on the map below]. Interestingly, these two rivers also meet before they flow into the Indian Ocean just north of the port town of Kisimayo, Somalia. In a sense, they make a circle or square like flow pattern to reach the sea, which is unique in the world. [look at the map].

Also, all seasonal rivers that flow into Somalia from the Republic of Kenya originate in Oromo districts in Kenya & the best known of this is called 'Laga Dheera' [The long stream/river].

Of course, 'River Awash' is another that provides water to the ungrateful & uppity Issa/Isaq Somali nomads who are now trying to eradicate the Oromo with the help of banda tigre habeshas.

Thus, Oromos can literally KILL ALL SOMALIS, THEIR GOATS AND CAMELS with thirst if they so wished. But, to achieve anything in this godforsaken corner of Africa, a community has to have plenty of AK47 guns & skills to use them. This last aspect is where Oromos keep failing.

Most of the somali lands are rich with underground waters, you wouldn't effect us at all if you were able to build a dam with your poor people.

Oromos cannot achieve anything like this to be honest, they dont have the accuracy to free themselves from the habeshas and are here threatening to build a dam, most of their people are poor oromo farmers who live on less than a dollar a day
Most of the beggars of ethiopia and in the streets of addis ababa are the likes of sadacha macha.
i suggest their 40 million ässes to free themselves first from the habeshas before being seen as a threat by their neighboring nations.

As we speak Awash is being diverted into Oromiya to irrigate rift valley and we hope that practice will be expanded in that make the ba$tards fish out of water.

yaballo: Didn't you read my comment dumbass? Firstly, the 4 rivers in the Somali region are major and permanent water flows and the massive rivers in Somalia are useless now since the whole south is completely fertile with many Somali farmers producing enough crops to feed the whole southern Somalia population. Jubba is a Somali word idiot and so is Shabelle, Dawa and Ganale which all have Somali meanings. Bantus don't even live in Jubba valley so I don't know why you even brought them?

Again, if you were to cut down all the water supplies. Somalis will never be waterless LOL! Because Somalis have saved enough seasonal waters, they are rich with underground waters and wells and also have enough waters in their mountains. Somalis have plenty of waters and the rivers are simply supplies for urban people and farmers who are concentrated around the valleys but you mention about Somali nomads? LMFAOO the Somali nomads not only herd camels or goats but they have millions of sheeps and cattle that outnumber their own population alone and the Somali nomads will never be affected by this process because they have their own wells and underground waters.

If you believe that these 2 major rivers flowing in Somalia is what Somalia got than you're a [deleted] idiot. Not even the people who live in the river use the river waters. It's simply used for agricultural purposes. For example, Somaliland main water supplies are underground and the mountains while Puntland is just mountains from Galgala and central Somalia mostly underground, wells and sometimes they save seasonal waters. Southern Somalia is the same and extremely fertile so they save up enough waters and river is hardly used. I just told you the rivers are agricultural purposes, it doesn't mean anything because the majority of Somalis also farm outside the rivers.

But just remember this, Somalis will annex Bale mountains since it historically belongs to us and I see why Oromos like to think its a weapon against the Somalis so it's best for us to annex it into Greater Somalia including east Hararghe.
