Future Ethiopia project railway with Somaliland

Postby Khysion » 30 Dec 2017, 23:28

"UAE’s port developer DP World has launched activities aimed at developing Berbera port in the Republic of Somaliland. Dubai-based development firm DP World will pump $442 million into transforming the country's Berbera Port on the Gulf of Aden, with the ambition of creating a regional trade hub. Once the Berbera project is completed, Berbera will become the largest port in East Africa."

Ethiopia is current booming economy and its manufacturing sector is also booming. Somaliland's leadership have made Ethiopia agree to divert 40% of all Ethiopian cargo shipments to Berbera port once the port expansion project is completed.

Ethiopia only uses Djibouti but now Djibouti will be getting 60% while Berbera will be getting 40%. Ethiopia truly depends on Somali ports. 8)

But mashallah, the Horn will be able to develop economically. Here: https://www.thereporterethiopia.com/ind ... o-business
