Interesting. Thanks Awash for sharing it. By the way, I suspect that many Ethiopians [and Eritreans] don't know how the entire cast of the famed "Nine Saints" - a group of missionaries who were important in the initial growth of Christianity in what is now Ethiopia during the late 5th century - were foreigners [Syrians, Egyptian Copts, Turks from Constantinople [Istanbul in what is today Turkey], etc. The 'Nine Saints' were named: Abba Aftse, Abba Alef, Abba Aragawi, Abba Garima (Isaac, or Yeshaq), Abba Guba, Abba Liqanos, Abba Pantelewon, Abba Sehma, and Abba Yem’ata. Awash,
Now too, this must be the base for our schools to begin with, there must come an end to talking about gun and talk about farm and other education, emagine there is a population increase, dear Awash, the wisdom and culture of the past is needed,I can't tell you about this, you have spent a lot of time studying about this, people's culture.
When I was growing up,in Easter, fasica,my mother used to send me to give to an old woman who sits to beg on the way to Kidane Mehret Mekelle before we ate any thing, all the nice food.
