More than 7500 Gurage listros with HIV/AIDS have been deported from Saudi Arabia since January 2024 and many Gurage listro thieves, drug dealers and prostitutes are waiting to be scheduled for execution in Saudi Arabia.
Migrant workers who are HIV positive are not allowed to enter Saudi Arabia and if they test positive while in Saudi Arabia they are immediately deported to their country of origin, The pickpocket subhuman Gurage listros are no exception.

Toronto – At least nine people, including government security forces, are reportedly killed in the latest string of security incidents in the Gambella region of Ethiopia.
The region’s police commission has confirmed the death of nine people following renewed violence in Itang district, which is about 46 kilometers from the regional capital, but residents from the area put the number of victims to ten, according to a report by DW Amharic. Nuer and Anuak ethnic groups are the dominant groups in the region’s population.
Gunmen opened fire last Sunday in the district and clashed with security forces.
The source cited Umod Umud, Gambella Region Police Commissioner, to report that six of the victims are civilians and three of them are security forces. He described the security problem as something created by “illegally armed individuals in the area.” The armed individuals reportedly opened fire to resist action on the part of the government to disarm them. They opened fire on security forces, it was said.
Transport service was suspended for two days but at this writing, normalcy is reportedly restored.
Residents told DW Amharic that 17 others were injured. They also highlighted that there has been recurring violence in Makot and Lari kebeles of the Itang district.
The Ethiopian Human Rights Commission (EHRC) has reportedly received information about the incident and is gathering information to investigate it.
There has been a recurring security problem in the region for several months now. Despite the regional administration’s claim that the security situation is improving, the region continues to face security challenges that affected civilians. Last month, at least three civilians were killed in Anuak Zone and there was a security tension for most part of the month.

Renewed fighting reported in the Amhara region of Ethiopia

An intense fighting between Fano forces and government soldiers reported in the Wogera, North Gondar, area of the Amhara region of Ethiopia. Sources with links on the ground cited Fano forces as saying that government forces suffered serious casualties and dozens were captured.
Multiple local sources report that there have also been fighting in Gojjam, Shoa and parts of Wollo.

Detectives have arrested a driver and his turnboy found transporting 17 Ethiopians being smuggled out of the country.
The group was intercepted by police from the Transnational Organised Crime Unit (TOCU) at Makupa Bridge in Mombasa.
They had reportedly moved from Ethiopia through the Kenya-Ethiopia border in Moyale and were allegedly headed to South Africa when they were intercepted.
It is not clear how they managed to evade police roadblocks on the main highways.
Acting on intelligence, the sleuths laid a trap at Makupa Bridge, where they intercepted the lorry carrying them.
Upon opening its carriage, 17 men of Ethiopian origin were rescued and escorted to Makupa police station. The driver and his turnboy were also taken by the police.
The group told police they were on transit to South Africa and had crossed into Kenya with the assistance of smugglers.
Police said they are looking for the smugglers.
According to police, most of those arrested previously said they use the Moyale route as they head to South Africa and Middle East oblivious of the dangers ahead.
Officials from the Transnational Organised Crime Unit are conducting joint operations to deal with human smuggling.
What is puzzling is how the immigrants evade many police roadblocks mounted from the Moyale border to Nairobi because they travel in groups.
There are more than 20 roadblocks on the stretch.
Most of those nabbed are usually repatriated to their country, police and immigration officials say.
Many are being held in various police stations pending their repatriation.
